I weight them myself dynamically each day according to its own specific cyclical and whatever other circumstances, what its own chart seems to call for at a given time. i am just treating them all the same, somewhat DCAing in as they drop substantially enough, increasing the size and frequency of injections as they seem to near or find support levels. this, of course, assumes a stock that shows an overall long term growth tendency, which is mostly all that i select, followed by long term crabbers. if I see my own little stash of NVDA drop by say 5%, i might make another small injection and then see what it does from there for a bit. if it seems to be the new support and indicative of having another upswing in its cycle then i might make that injection a bit larger.

I bought BALL today but looked at their 10k and 10q and got scared of their rapid increase in short term debt and the fact they are factoring their receivables and sold. I'm not a stock picker like that and don't really know what the sale of their aerospace decision will bring to the shareholders. I fired my advisor to try my hand at active management, and instead of just selling out of his positions immediately, I sold covered calls on illiquid tickers and after one of those fake and gay PPT Fridays I had just had enough and didn't want to wait the rest of the month for my calls to expire. So while it is a lot of money lost, there are other things to be grateful for, and with some slight adjustments to my method of thinking I know I can be consistently profitable. Just need to taper those expectations and unironically stick to reasonable max position sizes and have the discipline to lock in the loss when I'm wrong. Stuff I know already and thought I was beyond, but when the time comes to actually practice what you preach I don't do it for various reasons. Mainly greed and fear of being wrong and how being wrong makes me feel. I'm going to ease back in slowly and actually evaluate a sample of trades and adjust as necessary.

I have looked at the holdings of Vanguard, State Street, Blackrock, and Invesco index ETFs with a focus on the growth/value ones, in all caps (mega/large/mid/small) and picked out ones I liked the charts on and checked the HOOD analyst ratings and Mornigstar summaries. The *primary* factor is the charts though. I bought over 300 of them starting at $1 each and then go through them daily adjusting, adding to ones that seem to be positioned for upside. BTW, if you read my other posts on this subject, you'll see that you can turn just about any halfway decent stock into a good one. If it's already high, then start it at a very small amount (can you do fractional shares there?), then add to it and build as it get more into "support" zones, allowing those injections to get pumped up into the "resistance" zones. If you do that over time the effect will compound because you'll be building the overall amount that gets pushed back up in each new upside cycle.
