I'm selling my stuff and becoming a digital nomad. I achieved the American dream by 25 and it sucks. My house is just a burden, I don't enjoy my neighborhood, and there's nothing to do without driving half an hour through shitty traffic. Is there anywhere in America where I can live without a car and not get fucked by the next lockdown event? Any other countries worth considering, ideally with either low income tax or low cost of living

I have five cars and live in the suburbs and recently decided I hate it and would gladly get rid of all of my cars to live somewhere I liked and didn’t need a car.

If only you knew how good things could be. I live in a historic university city in Northern Europe (<100k pop). Nearing 30 and don't even have my driver's license, literally everything is walkable/bikable here. If I want to visit family or a bigger city to do le epic hustle and bustle stuff I hop on the train and am in the big city within 30 minutes. Airport is <30 minutes by train as well. Never have to worry about ubers/designated drivers/catching a dui. Just get shitfaced and walk home in 10 minutes.
