>there are anons buying oil and gas companies
Imagine buying into these companies knowing supply stays consistent with demand dropping as more people live in walkable cities and companies are reducing need for petroleum by replacing petroleum based materials with plant based alternatives that are carbon neutral or net negative. Its like they took an intro to economics course 101 and couldn't get past the supply and demand pricing charts. Like damn, how much diesel exhaust fume from your trugg did you inhale to cause that much brain damage? I really can't wait to look forward to the day I pass by them seething in their pods along with retarded link "marines" and XRPees that couldn't get past 8th grade mathematics and became so broke from their "investments" they beg for klaus schwab WEF shelters after their lifted "truggs" with MAGA flags got repo'd. >mom had kids too young (16), which immediately made her liable to 20+ years of wageslaving to feed the family
>through this time she didn't set a single penny aside for saving, long-term investments or anything of the sort
>then she went and had me when she was like 35
>now she's nearing 60 with zero net worth besides maybe her car
>my older siblings didn't learn shit, brother is 40 and still living with her, his net worth is also zero, also had kids young
>older sister had no kids but undertook massive student debt to do a useless master's degree abroad and is now wageslaving for it, her net worth is 0 although at least she got a married to a dude who inherited a house

depends on why you're selling covered calls in the first place. some people sell covered calls because they want income in which case weekly probably makes the most sense, some people sell covered calls because they actually want to get out of a position in which case selling monthlies and hoping you get called makes the most sense.

And your money isn't "tied up" you can buy back the put at any time assuming liquidity which many chains have. >Theta is your friend, playing weeklies not only nets you more premium than monthlies but your contracts sold are near stress free as opposed to the traditional option buyer
>get to play along with the market maker, not against them
>will never get fucked if the stock crabs, meanwhile a crab market makes bobos and mumus seethe

>easy to diversify risks without ever having to actually own a multitude of stock
>high volatility stocks nets you more premium and higher earnings than the retarded faggot permabears that blindly buy your puts

The only "downside" is if the stock goes up or down too fast
But if it goes up
>you still made profit

Most likely this is the local top and we will retrace back to 4150 on the S and P. This will lead to bear celebrations, but bulls will cope by saying "heh bears are celebrating the market going back to where it was in May heheheh". It will probably 'bottom' around July 7th, after a short beginning of summer dump down 7%. I knew about bitcoin since 2010. Used it for the first time in 2012. I also started with generous inheritance at the age of 22.

Eleven years later and I still haven't made it. In fact comparing my net worth to M2 I lost nearly 50%.

Anons if you feel bad about yourselves always remember there are retards like me.

Options isn't like fucking investing where the market is constantly growing and underlying companies will improve meaning you have higher odds of winning. It's LITERALLY gambling at the poker table. It's a zero sum game with the deal taking their cut. Not saying you can't make money selling options, but if you do it don't get too greedy and think it's a steady winner. It's more like side tool you add on to normal investing to increase profits or decrease risk at opportune times.

Currently sold covered SLV upside calls and cash-covered BAC downside naked puts. Running market neutral to bullish in the long run but thinking we might have a correction soon since we've ran up pretty hard right now. Might want to sell my UPRO or do some more covered calls.

I generally despise retail traders and here's why: They are typically short-sighted, antsy, undisiciplined gamblers just looking for their next hit. They have no respect or understanding of actual financial instruments and economic metrics, let alone any real knowledge of the strategic and tactical profession of a legitimate trader. No, retail traders tend to simply chase their next high. They see something pop off and think "To the moon!" and not "This is acting unexpectedly to the fundamentals in play, but I can still take advantage of this movement -- I must now hedge accordingly and monitor this security closely."

Boring? That's the way it should be. That's the way it always has been, that this is a gentleman's sport of skill and not merely a dance of chance. Ask these men, if they can be called that, for they behave no better than giddy childten racing snails: What does one do when they are in a profit? Why to them they continue holding! Holding until... it goes back down. No trading sense, no investor sense, this what we call nonsense. When you see one of these cretins boasting, ask them what principal were they working with, how many lots, what cost basis did they start with? What time horizon, what level of risk tolerance, what strategy? They return with a blank stare and a dumbfounded smile as if to proclaim silently "What are those? I'm just here to make money and want to talk about the next hot stock." Thankfully I can always be on the other side of their trades.

The best we can do is lay low profit from it. Let these onion boys beg for money to support their YouTube channels while they provide us with a starting point to make our own money.

Need more context. If new 401k accounts are being opened it's going to dilute the average. Are above average accounts being closed or drawn down?

to add to this, properly hedging your positions so your ass gets saved when the stock market has a limit down day or rallies 15% is simply the cost of doing business
you can be right 95% of the time but if your strategy is trash then that 5% will put you in the hole and youll end up losing money overall
