What intrinsec value is there to the crypto world today, apart from anonimity for organized crime and illegal activities in general?

The mainstream hype about get rich schemes should've subsided by now.

So what does the Blockchain and the current projects really bring to the table ?
ETH and smart contracts sounded nice but its real world implementations are close to nonexistent
From my understanding the rest is only pump and dump Ponzi shit. So I'm genuinely curious if you believe that there is some real potential or interesting technologies that will have applications outside of x100 to the moon for the founders
