i have 5 years of experience in corporate accounting, 2 of which are at a fortune 5 company. i've been applying to manager level jobs for the past 2 months and i've received 1 rejection and 0 interviews out of 50 applications.

at this point i'm pretty sure most job postings are literally fake, as are the "jobs added" that jewish economists love to lie about.

5 years ain't shit for a manager position, you're likely last pick and competing against people with twice your experience

You have to put “open availability” or no one is going to call you.

5-7 years is generally the amount of experience required for manager level positions. i work in a technical area and i'm smarter and more competent than my coworkers at a similar level e.g. i'm helping train and review the work of two seniors who have a decade of experience each, and i work directly with senior managers and executive directors to resolve reporting issues on an 11 figure a year line of business we report on.

Okay, are you friends with anyone in your company? Do you have a good relationship with whomever does the hiring for these positions? Are you on good terms with anyone who could recommend you?

yeah they put those postings up so when the finance people do research they see a growth in jobs
I've learned the hard way and going to hire someone to apply for me and bypass those fake postings

CS is worse than accounting lmao

At least with accounting you can always fall back on a boring government job where you manage one of the 10 million bank accounts the military has. CS you are immediately competing against HUNDREDS of jeets and chinks who apply to your job from all over the fucking world because these people will literally move to America just to take on this position. In due time silicon valley will be silicon Delhi

I graduated as an accountant, not cpa

Can't comment on that, I want to leave my shitty country too but I wouldn't go to America.

>in due time

Oh, my sweet summer child. That already happened, in the 90's and 2000's. We are in a post-jeet tech world. No, CS isn't worse than accounting, provided you aren't a moron. Far more positional freedom and upward mobility alike.

The jeets are always there lurking but companies discovered a while ago that they're only good for temporary contract work. You have to retain a staff of American workers to maintain your code base.

1. You lack the connections to get interviews
2. Your competition is so fierce that it's making you look like a fresh grad with a 1.0 gpa and 0 internships in comparison to your competition

It's the Brave New World we now live in. Everything is globalized. Everything is hypercompetitive.

You'll own...ah shouldn't say it today because I'll hurt many feelings.
