I totally, 100% believe in the LINK project and believe this coin will hit $50 next year but these little pumps with no news are so transparent. This will drop back down to 3000 sats within a few hours - if you're reading this and looking to buy in to LINK, wait until then.

It's not an ethereum clone... Geeze, you guys need to read up some more. Luckily, I'm not an asshole and I want people to become more knowlegeable so the whole bubble becomes stronger.

Chainlink is to crypto like APIs are to the web. The gist is for most smart contract functions to be useful, they need external data that isn't available within the cryptocurrency's existing environment. How do you access to said data? You need middleware that will bridge that gap. Maybe someone who is more technical that myself can explain how this is being "solved", but for the most part, that's the problem they are working on.

It's actually disgusting watching everyone disregard Chainlink and chase empty pumps instead. This is the most innovative piece of technology that financial and insurance sectors have all been waiting for and it will actually revolutionize the world and strengthen every industry it touches.

Look at Vitalik, Roger, Justin, and Charlie constantly focusing on publicity stunts, shilling, and talking about the pricing of their coins. Sergey is actually the most reliable leader in the cryptosphere focusing only on his technology and development, no bullshitting with publicity stunts. Only honest answers to honest questions when he gets the chance.

I feel like I'm taking fucking crazy pills watching all of this play out. Etherscan shows that soon 95% of all available circulating LINK will be consolidated into less than 15,000 wallets and that continues to shrink as more people try to chase pumps, they're being shaken into stronger hands. As soon as Sergey's saved up LINK is finally handed over to institutions we'll see the price jump by increments of dollars and it'll be way too for most people by then. This is so fucking ridiculous and scary in showing how stupid most of /biz/ actually is.

Good smartcontracts need decentralised oracles in order to execute without having to put trust in a third party. Link is the first to solve this problem by making decentralised oracles a reality.

Link also enables the connection between blockchain applications and legacy data like bank transactions enabling existing institutions like banks to incorporate the power of the blockchain in their business while keeping their current infrastructure.

If big institutions want to use smartcontracts effectively they need to use Chainlink or come up with a solution themselves. Chainlink is pretty much free to use so it is very possible Link will see a big increase in usage and price in the long term.

Fundamentally. It's neither a smart contract platform nor a currency. It's a network of oracles which allows smart contracts on their own platforms to purchase off-chain data and trigger off-chain actions.

>> No.5531322

Ethereum has smart contracts, BUT they can only use data native to the blockchain.
That means the smart contracts are crypto only (like token distribution).

Chainlink is pretty much a translation system that allows for the entry of external data into the blockchain.
That means you get the trustlessness of the blockchain, but for mainstream transactions.
