har har unlike primative bitcoiners we Eth chads hold not just coins but preferably smart contracts that automatically profit from any market outcome. My uniswap liquidity contract for example has seen its daily fees earned tripple all while adjusting the ratio of ETH/USD held negating loses at the cost of capping potential gains, The more volume there is the more i earn and crashes and pumps tend to affect volume alot. And thats just one dapp AAVE lets me leverage and profit from pumps and dumps all while being tax free since they are loans afterall. Yes we Etherians have nothing to worry about our Dexs are unstoppable and our dapps grow by the day. I do worry about the bitcoiners how ever will they be ever to swing their coins now?

>> No.55267277

That might have been the case 8 years ago, but it's no longer the case. There is no common enterprise anymore, because Ethereum does not depend on its foundation in any way. The foundation could vanish instantly and yet Ethereum would be just fine, it's as decentralized as Bitcoin is.

Does something possibly being a security at one point, legally doom it to be classified as a security forever, despite no longer passing the Howey test? And how can something even be a security if there are no entities responsible for it? I don't know and I doubt the SEC knows either, the securities law is simply not written with even the slightest relevance to crypto. The laws needs to be rewritten or wholly reinterpreted in order to get to the bottom of this.

Spoken by someone with precisely zero idea how Ethereum works.

>new roadmap by the great leader every few months
>a software company (foundation) responsible for putting said roadmap in practice
"Roadmaps" that various people might post are just informed opinions. The actual development process (EIPs) is exactly modeled by Bitcoin's BIPs, with the addition of more independent node teams that discuss the changes, instead of just one monopolized one (Bitcoin Core). In this aspect it is MORE decentralized than Bitcoin.

>impossible for the average person to run a full node
A full node can even be run on a raspberry pi with a larger SSD. It is not impossible at all. Ethereum has very modest requirements for nodes compared to most chains. Only Bitcoin is more restrictive, but only a little, and at that point the cons of small blocks outweigh the pros IMO.

>3/4 of the infrastructure the mother asshole of all shitcoins run on comes back to one VC
What exactly are you talking about? I hope it's not Infura or anything, because Ethereum does not "run on" Infura. Infura could, just like the foundation, vanish instantly, and the chain would keep working fine. All that would happen is that a few frontends would stop working for a few hours until they find other solutions (but nothing is stopping users from running their own frontends so it doesn't matter anyway)
