What catalysts could they pull out of their asses? What FUD could occur? Maybe something from the Trump and Justice department angle? The Ukraine war angle is unlikely as that seems to be humming along consistently...

It's popular enough amongst autistic high IQ hackers. Similar to Haskell. There are multiple independent high quality implementations that are maintained to this day. What is a bit lacking is libraries but what is there is often excellent, like https://github.com/cbaggers/cepl
>car cdr feels very clunky.
There's first, rest, nth, cadar, also destructuring (in libraries) etc. Or you just use other data structures entirely.

I have growing conspiracy entire economy is closed door deals between corporate lawyers of SP500 companies and oil producers to secure energy contracts and there is some unofficial rules they all follow for sake of "national security" which is keeping our crumbling global economy running as long as possible when they know the entire jig was up decades ago. Kek I'm kinda a jack of all trades kinda guy. Grew up working on a farm as a kid/teen so was exposed to all sorts of things. Had a knack for computers/IT so took and passed A+ and Network+. Worked in the private sector for a bit (not in IT). Got on with my current employer, again not in IT but the goal was to move into that. Fast forward a year. They (big HR I guess?) made the decision to as IT jobs opened up to just out source them instead. The remaining IT listed jobs were all in areas I didn't want to do or had no interest in doing (Mangers, Developers/programmers). So if I wanted into IT I would have to quit my job (and forfeit my benefits/early retirement). So yeah needless to say I said "fuck that". Fast forward another few years. Ironically I'm actually good at what I do even if it's not what I set out to do originally so they keep promoting me. Now I'd be an utter fool to toss it all away especially since uh I do "nothing much" for a good part of the day and I've got just 13-14 years left till retirement day.

See GME as being one angle to destabilize a core pillar of the existing financial system.

> stocks / equities (GME squeeze)
> EuroDollar (USD Squeeze)
> Bonds / USTs (collateral squeeze)
> others I'm too stupid do understand

Level Boss: GSIFI's (e.g. HSBC, SocGen, StandardChartered, etc.)
Big Boss: JPM
Final Boss: FED's Balance Sheet

Secret weapon not yet deployed by (((them))): IceNine ... i.e. freezing all assets in place; people will be able to see, but not touch, their assets but at the cost of eroding confidence in the system.

Big picture: the public's misplaced trust in the FED's balance sheet - and all the rehypothication B/S arising out of this - MUST be destroyed. But to assult confidence at scale is complex as the FED could concienvable cover one of those pillars blowing up. In fact, the public would presumably cry out for them to cover/bailout [whatever] blows up, at least at first.

End game: USD/FED Issued Fiat > USN/Treasury Issued with Reference to metal while still allowing the commercial banking system to create and destroy their own currency to keep in pace with economic needs of the regions they serve. We still need banks to loan IOU-USN's into existance to expand the monetary supply but banks need the alpha preditor of gold (or silver, platinum, paliddium, or some other basket of hard commodities) to keep them in check...large part of what's missing now is there's no wolf (gold) to keep the deer population (banks) in check - and when the banks do run into problems - the misplaced confidence in the FED's B/S kicks the can through """asset""" swaps.

I feel like oil investing is this market’s dirty little secret. Even the Western producers can be profitable around the $50 bbl range and there is a bottleneck in refining so the raw price could stay low while consumers actually end up paying more on a per gallon basis. Margin expansion with minimal effort + the dividend sounds like an easy place to hide for the next year after treasuries.

I see the market as currently overbought, with the RSI (5 period) at 75.81 and the SPY just above last august highs. Mathematically speaking, a pullback or at least bearish consolidation should occur.
>FED MEETING
Im bullish on this, so I expect shecklestein to dump the market Monday and Tuesday before JPow absolutely sends the market up.

>My Play?
Im currently looking at fib retracements from our previous run up, plan on selling puts at the 61.8% retracement on the SPY (roughly 418) if we touch the 50 percent retrace (roughly 421). Although, I would honestly sell at any level if Monday and Tuesday are bearish because Jews love to carpet pull on FED weeks.

Valuation is done at fundraising rounds, and periodically in between by auditors or something, based on internal financial data.

Company was fine, and I quite liked it. It wasn't as cushy as I've heard GOOG or META are (in terms of perks like meals and stuff), and there were definitely some people and orgs in rest&vest mode, though mine was not. My sister got married to a fag. My parents set her up with him. In a moment of weakness my mom confessed that he didn't sleep with my sister for a month after the marriage until his dad came over one day and had a stern talk with him.

She's divorced now with a kid who has autism. The clinic he goes to is draining my dad's wallet. My sister is very smart, she had an internship with a big 4 firm. She's a little bitchy sometimes though. She could've held down a decent life if she had a good man. What a waste.

She didn't get pregnant until after they were divorced. My dad spent over $10k on her wedding and said when he was walking her down the aisle, that he could tell something was wrong. After they were divorced my dad was pissed and it forever changed his opinion of her. I dont want you to get it mixed up though. Collectively as a family we are all kind of tired of her shit, but overall she's a good person. She went to rehab, which they scramble your brain while you're they're, and then they put her on a fuck ton of psyche meds because doctors are fucking scum. My sister would never ask to stay with me unless it was truly important because she knows I have very little tolerance for this shit. Plus with my work schedule I'm going to be all up in her business at all hours of the night which I'm sure she won't like very much to begin with. I agree with this sentiment. I want to add to the positions that are working but it feels silly to buy while it’s going up or after it has appreciated a lot recently. I don’t know if I want to add to my positions which are pulling back as I am not sure how I feel confidence/ conviction wise regarding those positions. I don’t wanna spread myself to thin since I feel like it minimizes my gains more then is reduces my risk but since my portfolio is so small navigating the management is a little weird. It is such a small portfolio it probably doesn’t matter and I am already over thinking it.

> How do we feel about petrol stocks? They have been performing really well for me and have pulled back slightly. Would love to build that position but I am worried if we get Trump for president we will see energy prices crumble. Obviously good for at the pump and grocery store but not so good for share holders.

Good take, I agree. Energy and utilities are a big part of my portfolio right now. Sort of why I want to add more even though diversification is a meme. The utilities are pretty stable but I don’t expect to make a lot of money. The petrol has been really profitable but I feel the risk setting in long term. I have some tech stocks but they all rallied recently so I wouldn’t want my DCA to increase buying the top like an idiot. Besides that I have a few consumer discretionary stocks like Starbucks and MGM.

Not sure what I should be doing, I think I am +4YTD so not doing terrible but I feel like I am really under performing against my own expectations at least.

i had a closer look, pic related. the extremes seems like good signals as if it's accumulation or distribution but look how hard it drops off. As soon as the price trend starts, people exit their seemingly correct position and the sentiment chart crosses the 50% mark to the other side (marked in yellow). either youre a bit early or will be proven correct soon enough as we are at extremes.

This is directly opposite to the contrarian statement below the chart released by the company. I think they are still right though. what is happening is a mistiming of their positions entry and exit so the sentiment chart appears like it's leading or showing accumulation/distribution phases but its not because when those properly timed longs or shorts start making money, they appear to be quitting their position and seemingly flipping against the trend. It doesnt tell us how many are sitting on cash though.

I'm a sentiment trader who trades contrary to derivative markets since it's believed most options traders lose. Options are zero sum. For every winner there is a loser and when the bulk of options traders are on one side in the extreme that side is by necessity wrong. Equities are positive sum due to expanding economy, dividends, etc. so even if equities traders are "wrong" they can just buy the market and hold long enough to eventually be right so trading contrary to the equity market means you may not be able to hold the trade long enough to be right. Hence my approach
On the left is the SPY IV term structure. Look for extremes. Comparing the chart to SPY will make the relationship obvious. On the right are 4 sample indicators. Clockwise from top left is the VIX6M/VIX ratio. This doesn't trend so the horizontal lines are good spots to make note of extreme readings. Next is MMTH/VIX. MMTH is the percentage of stocks in the S&P above their 200 day moving average. Bottom right is the 10 day moving average of the inverse Put/Call Ratio. If you don't difference the series to detrend it you can use a longer moving average and look for 2 standard deviations above or below it for extreme readings. Bottom left is the inverse spread between junk bond interest rates and treasuries of the same duration. When this blows out sentiment is distinctly negative. When it goes to an extreme, a reversal is coming. The list on the right is some economic indicators I like and a few other sentiment indicators I check
Some think all these amount to the same thing. That is wrong. They all need to line up
Note most of these indicators trend so it's helpful to use more elaborate mathematical massaging of the date i.e. de-trending by differencing the series. I use a spreadsheet set for this purpose. Also, you have to read these correctly. Check SSRN for thoughts on how to do this

Interest. On. Debt. Is. Negative. Gains

If your stock market returns do not match or exceed your credit card / personal loan interest rate. Which they probably don't if they're divvy stocks like VZ. Then you are LOOSING money everytime you buy stock instead of paying off the loan. Think about it.

If you are below $10k don't bother diversifying. Five is like the absolute most #positions you want at that level, or 1 position per $1k, whichever is smaller. Focus on getting familiar with the mechanics of buying/selling, and on how companies do over time vs how they said they were going to do (you are reading the quarterly earnings right??). Think of this as a practice run for when you are able to save up more.

Also. You should consider having at decent portion (like 50%) be SPY or equivalent, so you at least have a baseline that won't be rekt by bad decisions. And I'm assuming you have at least a 3-month emergency fund in cash or equivalents... if not then picrel until you do.

Use fractional shares in Robinhood to buy small amounts of lots of good companies. If the companies are on an overall upward trend, but you're buying them while they are at higher points within their immediate local cycles, then wait on them to drop to support levels and add more to them. Be sure to check P/E and look for good dividends, and set the dividends to automatically reinvest and expand your equities, compounding.

put it all in Robinhood, pay $5 per month for Gold, get 4.65% interest on it just sitting there, wait for the markets to crash and bottom, which will probably somewhat correlate with the 4.65 getting lowered, put it all into VOO.

Man I can relate. I had Celsius at $10, CROX at $49, and Tesla at $120 to name a few. I still have 50 shares of Tesla, but I sold the other half. I’ve never lost a lot of money, but I pulled out waaay too early on a lot of shit because I allowed people to FUD my thesis. Good luck, anon.
