It always seemed to me that people try to matchmake others only with people they themselves would not under any circumstances touch, people they consider deeply below their own standarts.

It took me long to realise it, at first I thought the character flaws are something you notice only when you spend a lot of one on one time with the person. However that is not the case, the matchmakers willingly omit those flaws.
Then again if you reject the match, the matchmakers (moreso female matchmakers) will take it as personal attack and will fuck with you and your job (if they are coworkers), if they are especially petty they will try to sabotage your future relationships to prove themselves right. It's unbelievable and sounds like schizo shit, but text may not do justice to the "nuances" of the fucking with you.
