as far as I can tell, barely. APE has been stuck within a 3-4% band for about a month now, not a lot of meat on that bone. But I'm seeing puts priced on AMC literally for it to have 15-20% daily moves for the next few months. Clearly someone is buying a fuck ton of these puts... but why? I'm guessing it's because there's a lot of shorts and margin rates are high as fuck, so MMs are buying stock, lending it and buying puts to hedge the delta. But if that's what they are doing they have pushed it too far, the pricing is hilarious

I run 3 to 5 miles most days of the week. The candian wildfires have kept me indoors the past 2 days. I did a 5 miler on the first day of the smog but I thought it was just hazy out at that point, didn't realize I was breathing in Canadian hickory smoke. Felt good. I'm hoping by the time my knees need replacement they will have invented artificial knees that swivel 360 degrees.

It's just a simple total return chart from pre-covid to now. Meaning dividends reinvested for comparative purpose.
NAT was really overhyped for an extended period of time and continuously underperformed. Way too promotional.

Over the past 12 months it's done alright, closer to middle of the pack as the rising tide of Russian sanctions has lifted all boats.
But I wouldn't be surprised if they make some retarded moves soon and revert to their trend of underperformance now that the bullrun is largely over.

Here's a view over a longer timeframe.

Ah, very much appreciated. What I have done was look at picrel plus the zoomed in timeframes and seen that it is on and maintaining a fairly strong bullish trend, and bought a small amount of a dip within that trend. I assume to let that small seed grow as it does, perhaps feeding it little bits here and there, and should a sudden strong DIPPARINO occur then 1) i might buy more within it, *if* circumstances and bottom establishing seem to support that being a decent enough play and 2) i won't be out a devastating amount either way. Truly, very much appreciated.

That's fine, although I hope you understand that there are potentially better seeds out there to grow and harvest from, as I have shown.

In any long term analysis it's best to look at total return, or, alternatively to consider that dividends are a direct reduction of the cost basis (after accounting for taxes). Looking at price return charts like RH displays while ignoring dividends will penalize companies that more aggressively distribute their profits, and potentially cause you to miss out on some good seeds. Sadly, no matter how you search, you'll never be able to own the best names in the business like OET if RH is your broker. You'd need access to Oslo stock exchange.

As a note on timing - while I previously said the bull run is over, it is reasonably possible that tankers continue to have 4-5 more good years ahead due to the lower orderbook, and perhaps longer as fears of "peak oil" disincentive further investment. Refineries have a similar setup. I continue to hold names from both sectors.
But there likely won't be another year of 100%+ gainers.

It is fairly uncommon supposedly. A lot of that in my opinion has to do with the retarded things investors do to manage risk. For example, if you go to a professional money manager like my boss had, they will want to put a bunch of money into bonds. You aren't going to beat spy with bonds. The money manager may even manage to lose some of your money selling the bonds before maturity.

Who is saying that? Besides CNPC talking heads. Now I listen to Jim Cramer because he's one of (them) but (they) lie all the time. Let's see how resilient the consumer is once their $500 - $1000 a month student loan payments kick back in with their 7% mortgages they are already just barely making the payments on, while swiping borrowers credit card bucks to keep food on the table. While the labor market suggests sticky inflation. The pause might mask all that for a little longer, but not forever. But maybe longer than I can stay solvent or capitulate into mumu positions at the worst time. But with MM funds giving 5% I'm comfy. I'm a trader not an investor.

I wouldnt say its really hard, and I wouldnt say its easy.

its easier to beat the SP500 if you have an opinionated and slightly more concentrated portfolio. but that kind of depends on the fact that you have a smaller portfolio than the SP500. for example, its easier for you to beat the sp500 than warren buffet, he needs BIG IDEAS.

but just look at this years market. the SP500 is actually down if you strip out the nasdaq.

so of course I'm losing right now, but thats because I didnt buy any of the tech stocks that I think are stupidly elevated this year.
(the only company that was worth buying after last years crash was NVDA imo)

I guess when market is more stable it's harder. I don't know, it'd be interesting to know what people are doing to beat spy.

Personally, as a noob, I only long, and while some investments gives me 20% others just slowly tick up, so in average I'm more like 7% so far. Had the market not been pumping so much I'd def not been close to spy.

You can literally just buy 90 delta SPY LEAPS (roll at one year) and out perform. You can move to the largest market cap tech stocks (AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, GOOG) during bullruns, as tech routinely outperforms. You can try the 200 MA strategy with 2X or 3X ETFs which has good backtesting. There's also a CBOE index which tracks dividend aristocrat stocks combined with 30 delta covered calls. That also outperformed SPX.

Read another hentai doujin early this morning. Time to kill so why not, anyway, boy and girl as kids promise to be together when their older once they see each other again. (girl moves due to parents job). Decade passes. Girl moves back to town. Both in high school. Boy has no clue what she looks like even though they talk over chat. Runs into hot blonde in hallway. They end up fucking in a classroom. Boy grows to like the blonde even though he wants to keep his promise to his childhood friend. Childhood friend girl sends him a text "I'm back, I'll see you soon". Boy freaks. The childhood friend girl and the boy setup a meet in a park. Boy confesses that he loves the blonde girl. But in a twist the girl he's talking to isn't the childhood friend; it's her older sister. She tells him that his friend is at his house. In the meantime the boy's mother sees the girl outside the house and knows what's up. The mother even offers to buy condoms. She tells her to wait in the boys room. So the boy gets home, sees shoes in the doorway and finds the naked blonde girl that he fucked in the classroom waiting for him in his bed. The whole thing was due to the girl fearing the boy wouldn't want her due to her thinking her tits weren't big enough. (Which uh is bullshit, going from the uh drawings I'd say they're least a large B or low end C). They fuck again in his bed.

What stock that is worth investing in isn't massively overvalued or a penny stock?

I'm thinking banks and financial institutions are a huge deal right now.

Charles Schwab, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo look like good buys right now for the short-medium term.
Undervalued due to the bank scare recently. Haven't yet recovered. Probably around the bottom.

Thoughts?
