If it wasn't already obvious, the market is literally retarded when it comes to reacting to stuff like this.

The good news is that this is yet another confirmation that those of us who hold link are going to be very very fucking rich very very soon.
What most people are glossing over is the "private blockchain" part of the pic.
Now it's all starting to make sense on why there wasn't very much accumulation of the link token that we could see.
The Link token being worth thousands of USD is going to be small potatoes compared to the hundreds of trillions of dollars worth of assets being tokenized on private blockchain.
Holy shit.
These companies are gearing up for the greatest transfer of wealth in all of human history, and it was right under our noses all along.

Token not needed cope. Crypto collectively declared war on globohomo chainlink.
Crypto is decentralized money and stands for liberty and freedom. Chainlink is the antithesis to crypto. Crypto was made to kick the bankers out of finance, chainlink wants to bring these same bankers into ceypto and turn it back into banker globohomo.
Crypto is supposed to be a breakaway financial system. Chainlink is trying to turn it into CBDC smart contract WEF controlled dystopia, something tradfi couldnt even dream of achieving. Can it be any less obvious?

Evidence is mounting up that linkies were right all along, and the market has been retarded. Yet people are still coping by thinking the current price action vindicates their bet against link. Don't you see by now that your entire cryptobro scam ecosystem is going away?
tradfi is going to use blockchain to tokenize assets and allow the rest of this idiotic crypto market to continue to scam itself out of existence.
Chainlink and a handful of others see this happening and are the only ones doing anything to make sure they have a place in this new financial ecosystem that will be taken over by BNY Mellon, Chase, State Street, etc
Most of the cryptobros who think that all these behemoths will simply step aside because people like Bitboy tell them their scam rugpulls are the future are going to learn a very tough lesson soon.

The word is delusional
Private blockchains that tokenize all assets are what will transform the financial world, not a bunch of dipshits that think something like XRP will replace SWIFT.

The fact that these very same institutions are naming LINK by name and sending their VPs to smartcon does not faze you one bit says enough about how insanely high the standard is for LINK. Insurmountable. For anyone that has been here since 2017, it's both insane and unbelievable how little the crypto space seems to care about these accolades when it concerns Chainlink, instead of "le L1 flavor of the month" or "le epic meme coin of the month".

Yes, fiat will always inflate, so well every stable coin and CBDC. Bitcoin is mathematically guaranteed to go up against fiat garbage. It is the achilles heel of the bankers. Each time they print more money bitcoin goes up and gains more users and popularity. The price action attracts more money, including these greedy bankers. They are now scheming around bitcoin trying to slither their way in with chainlink and eth.

Bitcoin is the thesis, chainlink the antithesis. They are trying to form a synthesis of these two. So instead of scamming and jewing you in tradfi, they will simply move into scamming and jewing you in blockchain. Since they cannot beat bitcoin they have To try to hijack blockchain for themselves.
Instead of being your own bank and master with bitcoin, you will use smart contract cbdcs powered by chainlink, where they can automatically steal your blockchain assets after you fail to pay your 50% apy home. Now your tokenized smart house and smart car will lock themselves automatically when the bankers repo your digital house token. Congrats chainlink you just made global monetary tyranny more efficient and automated!

Literally never said that. Gold would have the same price action as Bitcoin, if it didnt have its ancient flaw, where 100x more paper gold is sold.
Bitcoin is simply an upgraded digital gold which has solved this problem. Nobody can sell paper bitcoin that doesnt exist. So a globally accessible free market of digital gold is much more efficient then physical gold.

>Central bankers will continue to orchestrate enemies to validate their printing sprees.
>The price action attracts more money
>every time they print people have less buying power vs BTC but BTC is worth the same amount that it was before printing started why?
Wrong. Look at any Bitcoin/house Bitcoin/gold chart. It has steadily increased in buying power, because its true value is yet to be discovered.

>Chainlink is bridging tradfi and crypto. All cryptos benefit but like I said people have less buying power as time goes on because of the distribution of the supply of the given unit of value (USD)
Wrong again. The people dont benefit at all from tradfi coming into crypto. Which is why its become harder to make money from crypto as an average joe. Before the institutional bankers and osychopath wallstreet sharks came, everyone was making money. Now its full of blatant manipulation, insider trading VCs, bankers pumping and dumping bitcoin. Wallstreet high frequency quant algorithms. All make it hard for an average person to compete. >Wrong. Look at any Bitcoin/house Bitcoin/gold chart. It has steadily increased in buying power, because its true value is yet to be discovered
incorrect fiat value is your referent in all cases and it has decreased in buying power and costs have risen around the assets you are comparing. unfortunately you cannot compare gold/btc because there is no market for physical gold to be directly traded for btc without some intermediary like fiat facilitating the trade. maybe if you could show up to a crypto exchange in person to trade your physical gold to btc and have it transferred to your ledger or accredited to your account you could make this comparison but there is always fiat present in the trade so they are directly incomparable and you are a retard.
>Which is why its become harder to make money from crypto as an average joe

While the Link token has its purpose within the Chainlink ecosystem, it is not a requirement for banks or institutions to use the Chainlink blockchain or its services. Banks can leverage Chainlink's oracle network to connect their smart contracts with external data sources, enhancing the reliability and accuracy of their operations. The decision to use Chainlink or any other blockchain solution ultimately depends on the specific needs and requirements of the bank or institution.

My concern is with the supply. They distributed some to anons, more to nodes, more to exchanges, and hold most still probably earmarked for counter parties to achieve trust so all these banks have hold non circulating link and this link will never be traded.

The tradable market for link would be small especially with steaking locking things up. A locked asset is not a smart asset it must be doing something like exchanges do with your tokens you hold on the exchange. Paper markets do not interact with blockchains. Thats the most bullish part of this swift news is that they will bypass existing exchanges and trade through ccip directly with various blockchains.

im not convinced that nodes need to be at war with each other even with staking because they are in a walled garden its not they will easily lose access to their walled position of privilege because of lack of stake lmao you cannot easily replace trusted node ops guys like the lpl guys kek
when staking with slashing goes live and they have potentially new node ops reading to come in to replace those that lost their stake then we can talk wars

but there is no demand for the ancillary services like vrf to warrant positions opening up for new nodes

In the heart of Bulgaria, a group of individuals known as the Bulgarian FUDDERS patrolled the online forums, including 4chan, searching for projects that raised red flags and threatening the financial security of unsuspecting investors.
One fateful day, the Bulgarian FUDDERS stumbled upon a cryptocurrency called Chainlink. Intrigued by its promises and soaring popularity, they delved deep into its whitepaper, dissecting its intricacies with meticulous precision. As they peeled back the layers, they noticed something amiss.

Their instincts proved right. The Bulgarian FUDDERS unraveled the hidden truth behind Chainlink, discovering a well-crafted Ponzi scheme cleverly disguised as a revolutionary project. Armed with evidence and a mission, the Bulgarian FUDDERS began to spread their findings across the online community. Their messages served as beacons of caution, warning others about the dangers of investing in LINK tokens, which they believed were rendered useless within the broader market.

Their words echoed through the digital landscape, catching the attention of countless fanatical Link investors who had been captivated by Chainlink's seemingly promising prospects. Doubt began to creep into the minds of those who had initially considered investing, thanks to the relentless efforts of the Bulgarian FUDDERS. As the truth gained momentum, the 4chan investors opened their eyes to the grim reality. They realized they had narrowly escaped financial ruin, thanks to the vigilant efforts of the Bulgarian FUDDERS. Gratitude filled their hearts as they turned away from Chainlink, avoiding the potential devastation that awaited those caught in its web. Recognizing the significance of the Bulgarian FUDDERS' heroic actions, the online community rallied behind them. Their courage and selflessness had saved many from losing their hard-earned money to a deceitful scheme.

I would be more than happy to buy any coin I think is going to go up.
I've spent a lot of time reading and learning about Chainlink.
I absolutely understand what everyone here saw in it from 2018-2020. Especially during defi summer. One could easily imagine it would monopolize defi oracles. And of course it did that, spectacularly.
Despite liking Chainlink, I honestly have no idea what the actual argument here for value. I understood that charging for price feeds and such is a viable business model for defi. So if the same argument applies here for these banks or whatever, what are the specifics?
In what sense is it undervalued based on some information that the market doesn't know, or some future narrative that will induce fomo from random people?
Presumably the price is going up because I'm not alone with my general confusion about what situation is supposed to unfold in the future that will enable me to dump bags on people buying into hype(since of course that's where the edge is), and realistically there are probably tens of thousands of people like me that are either missing something about future hype, or missing something about some genuine economic value proposition wrt to the token. 'Fundamentals' are often bs in crypto since it's so speculative that the values always massively eclipse any fundamental value that is generated from protocol revenue and whatnot. But perhaps link is going to have some insane deluge of protocol revenue and the market is somehow vastly undervaluing it at the moment(and all these big players who know what they're willing to pay and such since they have intimate knowledge of the industry are simply not buying this value for some reason..). But if that's true, then it needs to actually be spelled out somehow because obviously me(and apparently others aka the market) are too dumb to see it(quite possible, but ultimately this game is about getting dumber people to buy your bags...greater fool and all...so...)...

These things have not been priced in. Its only been dumping since before they were announced/confirmed:
Staking and BUILD airdrops
CCIP
swift

We're still waiting for shit to actually come out which I guess is the biggest issue (but that didn't seem to hurt cardano so who knows). CCIP and swift will not induce fomo in retail but they signal a massive uptick in DON usage for anyone paying attention. The more the network is used, the more fees are collected and by extension token price will rise. Read the economics section of the whitepaper, as sergey would say.
Staking is the one thing that will potentially induce fomo from retail once they clue into BUILD airdrops but the current pool is full so this won't happen until they can fomo in. We should see v1 with 6 months or so barring any further betrays. Still might not open up enough to really drive fomo, I'm not sure.

That very well may be true.
But to me that sounds similar to what people said about Tesla a while back. All of it very well may be true, and I personally wouldn't even argue the point at all. But when everyone already knows that and buys it up to a certain point, there needs to me something beyond that.
Like a literal meme that isn't too hard to understand for the average person about why they'll make money buying it. Like the old meme magic and hopium but redone for something far bigger than defi/crypto since it's already gg there.
It's like people(and obviously myself as well) want to make money and want to buy something they think is going to go up. But the whole thing is predicated on thinking other people are going to be buying more of it after you for some specific reasons(whether they're legit or not, doesn't really matter too much but a plausible narrative is always nice).
It's kind of hard to articulate exactly, but it's like Chainlink is almost too legit and good. As stupid as that may sound, vague bullshit is what drives specualtion. Especially in crypto. I wouldn't give a fuck if there were a bunch of bullshit memes that people were buying into and the price was going up...or if I thought there was some kinda bullshit meme/narrative in the future that I could get ahead of(and there very well might be still who knows). I'd happy buy into memes. But for now the memes are just lacking I guess. Hard to explain. But I mean things can and do change and it's not hard for me to click the buy button. BUILD airdrops are potentially very good news for all of you who are staking and such. But neither positive nor negative to randos like me who are just going to potentially buy. Last I heard staking was full anyway.
A good situation would be a nice airdrop to stakers, and then the staking cap gets increased and people rush in to get in for more airdrops. That's worked a few times with shit like ATOM last bull run iirc.
So I'll definitely keep an eye on that.
Basically if you guys do get a fat airdrop, you'll likely gain more from the base token appreciation if/when staking is expanding(I think anyway).

This is clearly not a fact lol. Loopring went up 500% on GME NFT rumors. Since the swift release yesterday LINK is up -3.4%.

If LINK was an L1 this would be a true hype-worthy event but LINK has always had this problem of being the middle man and retail can't grasp what it means. I do think CCIP makes it much easier to explain than when it was just price feeds though so I do have hope they will catch on eventually.

We literally just have to be patient.

Tried to buy another 1000 the other day but my bank in the UK decided that people aren't allowed to use their own money to buy crypto anymore and have put a £1000 limit on buys.

Will get my wife to buy some tonight as the dip looks great.

If this was truly a big deal reputable sources in fintech would be all over it. This is just the latest crypto grifter bs. Happy to be corrected whenever this turns out to be the next big thing.

Crypto has been about a soap opera enriching CEXes, VCs, and miners. All of that stands in the way of LINK because once it goes primetime the bar gets raised from exciting vaporware and washtrading to needing at least a proof of concept and a business case.

The soap opera still controls the price action and their last hope has been to price anchor LINK and starve it of operational funds. The bullshit part of it is that they still let it swirl around in the top 25 because they probably hold a fuck ton of it themselves for when the day finally comes. Or maybe they worry that they push it out of the top 100 and it gets too easy for it to 10X and gain momentum. So it swirls the toilet in purgatory until it's adopted.

In your fear and uncertainty it will be tempting to put your trust in some person or group who emerges and claims to have a "way out", which will involve sacrificing some of your liberty. You must resist this urge. These self‑proclaimed saviors may appear in many forms, under any number of banners: "intellectuals", "influential people", "progressive thinkers", "billionaires", "the UN", "the EU", "self‑selected multinational coalition", "global leaders", "world governments", "radicals", "revolutionaries" or some combination of these. They may appear charismatic. They may appear to have your best interests at heart. They may stand united, arm‑in‑arm, proclaiming "We know the way forward", advancing some form of "people's revolution" or "Global Reset" where "you will be in charge", hawking various "‑isms" and promises of a better tomorrow. These people are not your friends. They are not to be trusted. They are the same global banking elites using the same fear tactics, shilling the same magic potions and snake oils as always. They want only one thing: power.

Retail does not and has never moved the price of crypto. Things that pump do so because insiders specifically are coordinating dumps. If link is thought to have long term value, it will not pump, because nobody wants to actually sell it. You are being distracted by musical chairs, link is the only long term investment play in this market outside of bitcoin and MAYBE ethereum. But it doesn't matter because 99% of retail will literally never buy until they see giant green dildos.

>> No.55219827

Markets bottom on apathy. We are there. Look at everyone's favorite crypto jew benjamin COHEN whining about no views/new subs. There are more eyes than before simply due to adoption, but this is more or less the same atmosphere as 2019. That said I wouldn't be surprised for one more market nuke that pushes link to the 3-4 dollar range and if you have cash on hand buy orders there could be very lucrative.

But at that point nobody will buy anyways (wrt retail), anyone who has held link that long probably bought below a dollar and has trouble stomaching buying at these prices, and anyone else has watched it bleed eternally and believes the gme/xrp schizo narrative. You don't have to do anything special to keep retail out, just keep price low/stagnant for significantly long periods, psychologically they will capitulate with time.

in short, yes.
bullishness has to do with the relationship between MM's who pnd on news, and the pool of retail liquidity who buy into it. there are no MM's who pump link on news, and barely any retail who buy Link, so Link news can't really be bullish.

There is no real world value entering blockchain atm. When there is, link stands to be the biggest winner right now. What's unique about that is if link wins, it directly competes against the interests of those who profit off the current state of the market, so it is directly in their interest to see link fail until that happens. The entire point of crypto right now is to dump on someone else, and if that ever changes, you have less people to dump on, which directly impacts your profits.

Some will say, "well why don't they just buy link?" To which I'd say, first, they have, I promise every major entity already owns a sizeable bag. But second, and more importantly, why would they pump it for a 5x or 10x and have retail holding something they deem valuable long term, when they can continue to hide it, and pump meme coins, VC L1's and other garbage, making 100x's routinely and dumping something they never wanted to hold in the first place? Until tradfi money actually enters crypto en masse, the game is to maximize profits on dumping, and link will never win that game.

That said you can bet on it never happening, or still being years away. You probably won't win the casino as you have no edge, but you might see better returns in the short/medium term.

>WHY??!!! WHY IS IT NOT PUMPING??????

No its not. Liquidity precedes all price action. Whales and moneyed interests have all the liquidity. News DOESN'T move assets although sometimes those with the liquidity will use news as cover as to why an asset moved when it reality it was just their doing.

I've explained probably a dozen times and yet no one still gets it. Especially in the current market where its still considered a bear trend, 90%~ of retail only buys for 2 reasons.

There is a perceived authority figure (or multiple) telling them to buy and so they do.

The price is going up a lot to where it can't be ignored and so they make an emotional purchase.

These 2 factors legit make up 8 or 9 out of 10 buyers.

Almost no retail buys when hype is low, price is undervalued, can stomach and not second guess themselves while accumulating while price ranges which will sometimes put them at an unrealized loss temporarily, and patience is needed to wait for parabolic expansions to realize any significant profit.

4Chan (INTx personality types) were uniquely built for this. I fucking love this place honestly.

When you look at the cycle of empires that ray dalio lays out, you see that the end of a superpower usually coincides with a manipulation of currency and the taking on of debt.
The US is at that stage right now, but it looks like the 4th industrial revolution is going to allow the extension of the cycle through CBDCs and tokenization.

When you listen to the Eric Schmidt talk at Smartcon, he talks a lot about tokenization and how revolutionary that it will be.
When they have the ability to tokenize assets, they're able to totally flip the script on the cycle of nations that usually ends with the world power succumbing to hyperinflation.
Now that they're able to switch to CBDCs and tokenize the spectrum of assets at their disposal, the financiers are able to maintain control of the population.
The US still enjoys a good position in the world when it comes to many things like military might, demographics, resources, and innovation.
If they're able to pull this off, we're looking at the 2nd coming of the Roman Empire that could last 500 years.
China is a hair away from collapse, and the europoors are totally dependent on trade with the middle east, russia and China for their survival, so there's not going to be anyone to disrupt the 4th industrial revolution being spearheaded by the US.
Barring a thermonuclear exchange, we're still barreling toward a globohomo cbdc controlled financial system, but at least we'll be rich enough for it to not matter to us.

On the bo~ard where we bought corn
Came a stu~dent of philosphy
And he to~ld us of his strife
And his pla~an for linkmarines
He unvei~led how he had won
And gave us blu~ue for bits of green
And we'll ho~ld until our graves
Like our fel~low linkmarine
We all love our fellow linkmarine
fellow linkmarine, fellow linkmarine
We all love our fellow linkmarine
fellow linkmarine, fellow linkmarine
And our fre~ns are all aboard
Buying mo~re of them to hold and store

It was more of a coincidence and luck when similar minds gathered together for a common goal.

Chainlink is being used to link centralized systems to decentralized ones. In this process there's some necessary centralization on Link's side otherwise called delegation.
Just like when you are using BTC the transaction is insured by the electricity and hardware bills of all the miners involved in BTC's consensus mechanism, in Link's case it is insured by Link's consensus mechanism.
Contrary to every other L2 or blockchain efficiency algorithms, Link's potential improvements on the cost and efficiency of crypto transactions cannot be copied and slapped onto other chains. They are also orders of magnitude bigger.

Link's rise is not about its function as a price aggregator intermediary rather than it's potentially for a semi-centralized/semi-decentralized consensus mechanism that can bring immediate real world adoption IF it is successful.
Link's inherent centralization is also the reason that many anons call it globohomo coin.

I feel like there is some potential here with the ponzinomics between staking, revenue from all of the activity(or at least the idea of all the revenue going to stakers, the reality doesn't matter that much).
So I guess the biggest issue now is that it's hard sell for now since the whole thing sort of rests on the true 1.0 staking system.
It seems like that should come first here rather than the way its going. Perhaps that's why they threw out the 0.1 system because they sort of realize that.
The thing is it seems that 0.1 just locked in a bunch of people who weren't going to sell anyway, so it doesn't really move the needle much.
Basically it seems like they're putting the cart before the horse there by dropping this SWIFT stuff and CCIP before having the actual mechanism that's supposed to enable the feedback loop that people might decide they want in on.

When you start listing these crazy desires, man, crypto is still too damn complicated for most people. We gotta step up the game and provide better user experiences, social logins, and slick wallet onboarding, just like Brillion does. Let's make this shit more accessible to everyone

Nah.

You have to get the institutions hooked on the system before you turn the screws, this is why drug dealers hang around the school gates giving away freebies before they get them hooked on the product and start charging.

>> No.55229134

>>55228613
Everyone is irrelevant.
Chainlink has always been about capturing the institutions and modernising the infrastructure for the digital age.
Normies have the Internet running on their mobile phones but they don't understand how the Internet works or how their mobile phones work, it might as well be running on magic.
