Everybody that tries VR gets bored with it after 2 weeks. It's like exercise equipment. I don't like it and the market didn't like it and here is why:
VR has limited use cases. Video games on it aren't very good, people don't want to wear these things for extended periods of time, there are some neat visuals you can do with VR but they're not so much better than a nice screen that people are eager to adopt the tech. The only use case for VR that does see regular dedicated utilization is porn. Even there, VR porn is not so amazing that a large chunk of the population are going to be interested in a dedicated device for it. All this and THREE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND NINETY-NINE UNITED STATES DOLLARS for a version of a thing that already exists on the market for a fraction of the cost. Is Apple's new headset $3000 more better and more appealing than the others? They could cut that asking price in half and it would still be insanely high.

I've followed VR pretty closely since the early oculus days; the fact is that even today, they are pretty far from full fidelity and it's a lot more complicated than just sheer screen resolution.
Problems like focal length and lensing artifacts are a serious problem, as are FOV limitations. There are potential solutions to this, but it requires exciting new tech and software that isn't mass marketable yet.

Going into this I was hoping that Apple would suprise as they have been working on this for a long time and have some of the best engineering talent in the world, full stop.
However to me this has been a big disappointment, it's really nothing special.

There is this big obsession with trying to make the headset look not dorky, this is the holy grail for laymen VR investors, but I think this is completely the wrong approach:
IT WILL NEVER LOOK GOOD!
The way you make mass adoption a reality is by making the experience on the other side as indistinguishable and vivid as possible.
That's the draw and there is opportunity for real disruption, but it requires real engineering work not just a smooth user experience or polished bevels.

Can someone explain to me the T+1 rule. I have a stock which has a record date 7th of June. Today is 6th. It's already lost exactly the value the div was going to pay. I think it's because of the T+1 rule.
T+1 rule means that a transaction won't be officially written down and recorded until the next day, if I'm correct. So if I sell my stock now, it won't be recorded until tomorrow and that means that tomorrow I'm still on the record as an owner of stock which means I still get the divvie if I sell today.
Now here's my issue with this. If I sell to someone, then his name will be recorded as owner of stock as well. So will they have to pay both of us the full payment of stock? Will they not record the new owners name? Why not? The transaction occurred at the same moment my transaction occurred. What am I missing here anons?

"C3.ai was founded in 2009 by Thomas Siebel as "C3".[1] Originally the "C" in the company's name was a reference to "carbon" and the "3" was a reference to "measure, mitigate and monetize" because the company's original goal was to help manage corporate carbon footprints.[2] For some time in 2016 the company was named C3IoT and before that was briefly named C3 Energy.[3][1] The company went public in 2020.[1]"
