I came in at the tail end of 2021 but to be fair I was sick and some random person told me crypto would be big Jan 2021 and to find /biz/ not kidding.

My original introduction to 4chan was in 2011. Some classmate showed me a guy getting murdered by 2 nutjobs with a hammer and screwdriver. I made it like 15 seconds and felt sick to my stomach and walked away. Everyone else in my class thought it was funny. It basically just taught me how mentally ill everybody else around me was.

I didn't actually start coming onto 4chan until late 2019, when people started talking about covid-19 and posting the Chinese videos of people having seizures.

Eventually I went over to /biz/ because that was my most natural habitat on this site. Frankly, I only come here to laugh at schizoposts and schizopost myself for comedy. Sometimes I'll actually give genuine advice. Other than that, this place is basically useless and shouldn't be taken seriously by anybody. It's really just bad for your mental health if you let random spergs, glowies and schizos get to you.

I have been on 4chan since 2005 as underage back then, people really did get banned back then if they were under 18 posting. don't think they do that anymore (4chan is now a glowie website after all, they want to manipulate and infect the minds of the impressionable youth) been going on 4chan on and off different boards. just went to /x/, /ck/, /pol/ (before that, the news board) and spend the most time on /biz/ nowadays.

Some boards are okay still, but /biz/ especially has gone to absolute shit from 2017 on wards. Just zero value to be found here I'm not even joking.

4chan is great at fostering niche communities as they start to exist, but sucks at keeping them in good condition and retaining them.

Like how /gif/ had great original content creators back in the day, with a lot of memes that were seen around the interwebs originating from it. Now it's just bots and degenerates posting the same porn over and over. Some of the OC creators moved to /wsg/ but it's not the same.

/biz/ used to be filled with gigabrains and actual successful degens who have since made it big. I remember an anon here shilling ETH heavily at the start of 2016, at least that was useful to the /biz/tards. Today there's no value to be extracted here, it's just pure trash.
The smart people have already made it and are lurking for fun every now and then, the rest is just doomposting or copeposting. If you see a project on here and think you're early, you're misunderstood.

Quality threads get ruined by poorfags looking for their golden goose. They never just pause and realize they need to buy into the 'bluechips' of crypto, they're always looking for the get rich easy route, the next 100x in some random shitcoin. In doing so all quality discussions around Ethereum for example are fucked from the get go on here.

pic related, I posted about ETH price when it was $250, warning people about the huge opportunity and to buy some. While everyone on /biz/ thought ETH was dead and being replaced by a bunch of coins that are now, of course, ACTUALLY dead.

Of course I didn't predict the exact future in mid 2020. Of course I didn't nail the exact $ amount that ETH would go to and when it would top out.

As 2020 and 2021 progressed you obviously fine tune your targets as you keep tabs on the markets and sentiment. Obviously you don't just set a target on day 1 and stick to that blindly for a whole cycle.

This is about seeing an opportunity where and when the majority of the people didn't (at the time).
I sold most of my position in between $3500 and $4000 as it became clear that we were overheated on a lot of indicators (and sentiment) an $10K was just not going to happen that cycle (it will this cycle though).

Have you ever heard of planning laddered sells? You don't actually place 100% of your sells at your target right? ..Right?
Nobody holds the full truth, but you can manage to play the big swings pretty well if you have a solid system.
In 2019 that system meant buying ETH at $100 when everyone on /biz/ was replying with witty one-liners like yours advocating against ETH. The amount of EOS, DOT, LISK, NEO shills I've had to endure over the years holy shit it just never ends. They're all rekt now.
