How to become detached from materialism and wanting things so I don't spend all my money when I get it?

Idk it comes naturally to me. Knowing that everything in stores is mass produced bullshit made by sweaty chinks helps.

If you are a chronic consumer start using a one month rule. If you want something wait one month until you buy it, the catch is you can only want 1 thing. Because you are a chronic consumer you will actually never buy something since every day you will want a different thing restarting the counter. If you make it to like the third month you are gonna be detox and at this time is useful to start reading about philosophy and religions. Also avoid debt unless you are actually profiting from it.

Stop being a consoomer. It's not hard. What kind of shit do you even want? Nothing is appealing, really.
Only spend money on BTC. I haven't bought anything online for two years. I just don't want anything.
Recently I decided I'm going to buy some Zamberlan boots. They will last for years. That will be the first thing I've bought in recent memory, and the last thing I buy for a while.
Just be cynical and frugle.

most things suck, as soon as you start to look into the thing you want to buy you realise its crap. Ive spent tons of money on shit. 80$ for 3 underwear, they were actually worth it. ~1k for VR headset, waste of money cause I just dont like VR. I like sitting and staring at my screens. I want to get a new car but they all suck. To get the car I want how I want I will have to order it from dealer and they will over charge on msrp and it will take months maybe years. I'd rather just have more money and be able to invest/gamble more than increase my COL. Everytime I get paid lately is a new all time high of my networth increasing. I will spend money on restaurants and services. Car repair shit unless its relatively easy. I've just never really been impressed by most stuff. The really cool stuff costs millions of dollars and I don't have to worry about spending millions when I only have 6 figs.

Channel your materialism into something, like buying gold, silver, stocks, crypto, etc. Physical assets work better because you can touch and play with them, but it depends on your autism.

Im rich so I buy new cloths every time I need them but never have to do manual labor so I don't sweat a lot and I change outfits about once a week or 5 times a month I'd say. Not too bad each fit is like 500 not counting shoes (those stay on 24/7) so less than I spend at the tracks LMAO

Consider why is it that you crave the material things.
I completely stopped chasing status symbols after realizing that most people are normiecattle who dont have any opinion on any topic I would value anyway.
If you spend money on quality food or a house in the middle of nowhere those seem not bad to me.

its one of those things, you simply cannot desire to stop desiring

you need to experience something else to see what really matters. the trick is that this is entirely impossible within the walls of modern life.

its time to go walk about anon

An unhealthy obsession with the esoteric will do the trick. You start hoarding information instead of material possessions.

For example, making a long list of Marxist talking points found in the Bible, instead purchasing of a large 19th-century French provincial carved walnut cabinet with mesh front on eBay for $2250.

Well, you know what they say: "it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into Heaven". The reason one even wants money desperately is because one imagines the enjoyment of material goods. If one then gets money, one either immediately spends it on those material goods, since the desire for those material goods is what inspired the desire for money in the first place, or one hoards it because the thought of the enjoyment has fused with the money itself, causing one to "love the money", independent of its usefulness for anything. In a sense, to desire the money in any form is in and of itself indicative of the corruption in one's nervous system, and thus in one's thought process. Thus, to ask "how do I not lose the money?" or a similar question is unanswerable, because to answer it is to make the question absurd, as in "if you knew better, you would not need to ask the question" - which is of course always true, one asks questions because one "does not know better". So while the question IS indeed absurd, there is a "pedagogical purpose" in asking it if you will.
There is of course a utility to money, but the point of a utility is not to merely "have the utility", but to use that utility. On a deeper level, the same kind of error manifests itself: one falls in love with abstract utility (which money really is), imagining what one "could use it for" - one comes to love, not the usage, but the idea of the usage. Thus you need to think about what you'll use it for, not just whether our have it. Insofar as those wishes themselves contain these kinds of illusions, they will back-corrupt the money-managing process, e.g. wanting a lambo will lead to greed. The lambo's value it itself illusory, induced by illusions about its usage; "I want a lambo" comes from "if I have a lambo, I'll get women", and wish to (the imagined utility in) "I'll get women" itself has an illusory component of e.g. "and then I'll be happy".
