well in that case HOOD is extra good because you can get your feet wet with very small amounts using fractional shares and seeing how your picks actually work out. you can get a bunch of stocks for say $10 each and just get a feel for how things work through direct experience with very low risk. i recommend picking some good dividend stocks that have recently taken hits but are still strong companies that will very likely rebound like TSN. DE is another good one to pick up cheap now but not a high dividend, just a great long term stock in general. it's expensive for a whole share but you can just get maybe $50 worth or whatever and see how it goes without worrying. those are just example amounts and stocks but HOOD is excellent for that kind of approach.

You could set limit orders, swing trade over multiple days or weeks, do afterhours and premarket, or do something that runs at night like futures or forex.

I forgot to mention the basics of stop losses, essentially you just set them in a logical place where the trade would be invalidated, usually below or above a key support or resistance level.
A simple example would be if I want to buy a stock based on a big green 15 min candlestick closing on its high, I would set a stop a little below the low of that candlestick. If I get stopped out then I simply fucked up in thinking this was the bull breakout, sometimes there can be 2 or 3 fakeouts before the real run. It takes time and experience to feel out what's real or not.
If the risk is too high because the only logical place is far away, which happens with strong moves, reduce your position size to fit the 1% loss rule.

They're taking datacenter market share from Intel because Intel didn't have a competitive CPU until just a few months ago.
