It seems like nothing works anymore, any idea you have someone else has already had it. The profit margins on everything are too small to even be worth doing. Like go on amazon and look up any item then look on alibaba and see what it costs and after you calculate all the shipping and amazon fees you see the seller is basically making pennies on every sale. Whats the point?
It seems like the only way to make money outside of being a wage slave now is to be an influencer on social media. And I just get spammed videos of boomers like mark cuban talking about how easy they had it when they were young. He said he and a few friends rented out an entire warehouse for like 200 bucks and threw a party and served beer and made like 40k 1 night. Nowadays that warehouse would be like 10k a month and the cops would shut that shit down instantly. And theyre always saying just buy stocks or real estate because thats all they had to do.
Ive tried every money making method that people always shill and none of it ever works. Maybe it did for a short period but after there are more than a few people doing it it stops working. Anytime it seems like it might work theres always a catch.
Buying a house is practically impossible now and the stock market is just a casino, holding any assets long term is not going to outpace inflation. So you can either be a wage slave or you can risk your savings on coin flips and hope that you get lucky. But its simple math being a wage slave is never going to make you rich and I realized a long time ago the only way I can be happy is to have enough money to never be told what to do again. Even if you make money gambling on stocks the taxes will fuck you.
Even if I bought a house theres property taxes and HOA bs. I literally feel like just fucking off inna woods and building a log cabin or some shit. Thats the only way I can ever be truly free. Should I live out of a van or something?

The only way to have a clear edge is an information advantage with which you can arbitrage. However that is very difficult for retail because high frequency data feeds are expensive, not to mention your average person is not well connected enough to be privy to actual insider information. So instead, ride the waves, so to speak (the market cycles). Notice how all the normies hate crypto again just like in 2015 and 2019?

Learn2code was always kind of a meme because it's too easy to learn skills nowadays with youtube videos and stuff so theres no scarcity to it. How are you supposed to compete when're just getting into a business with little experience, no warchest of capital, lawyers accountants to guide you and shit. Unless you come up with some new ground breaking tech/product it's over. Everything is so tight and already running on full steam it's depressing af, and there is no way to protect yourself from inflation too because every "gain" you make is taxed, crypto is or maybe was our only way out of this hell

If I were to start over today, I’d learn of these jobs :
-Product Design, if you can automate the coding via chatgpt you are a machine
-UX Design, similarly to Product Design
-CyberSecurity, always needed
-Sound Designer, working in sound and making music on the side seems like a fun life
-Plumber, always needed
-Electrician, always needed

Very eclectic list, but you get the idea. It’s all about building skills that are in demand for the foreseeable future (scrum masters is a fad, or at least I think so, can’t believe they are paid so much) and go all in. Sprinkle this career with your interests and you are golden

It drives people to create a supply of said goods/services. When only a few companies exist within a sector AND the prices are increasing. It drives everyone to start chasing the high prices. The problem you describe is that markets are efficient and all profit is competed away. The solution is either to find a natural monopoly, operate in a more inefficient market or you can find or create a new markets yourself.

Just pay attention. Find a market that isn’t being offered, it can be a fucking lack of late night food trucks in your city, it could be lack of information on YouTube about your favourite hobby stamp collecting, whatever the fuck, just find a market that is wanted and not being delivered and deliver it.
