They already did that with the internationally coordinated demonetization of silver in the 1800s, I really don't see yet another divergence of the GSR even further from the mining ratio as likely or sustainable. Maybe a big global monetary happening would cause a temporary mooning of the ratio but it would signal to everyone waiting with cash that it's time to pounce on silver.

>Americans hoarding coins following the removal of silver.l from the currency.
A lot of those americans are still alive, you can just ask us about it.

nobody was hoarding coins. Not individual people anyways. We couldn't afford it or if we could afford it we didn't figure it would pay big in a reasonable span of our lifetime, and we were right.

what actually happened is businesses, mostly illegal businesses and quasi-legal stuff like mob-run casinos were taking coins and melting them for sale on the black markets because spot was already higher than face value. But to make any money on that sort of arbitrage you had to melt hundreds of tons of coins. And they did. Several people got busted for it and it slowed down some. But the US was minting coins just to have mobsters melt them down and sell the metal back to the mint. I don't personally know anyone that was just hoarding silver, that would've been dumb. Like you guys hoarding pre-82 pennies or modern nickels or something. The payoff was so tiny and the fact that you'd need to store huge quantities of change for decades was burdensome enough that nobody hoarded them. If we found silver in our change we might take it to the LCS and turn it in for cash, after which it got melted for scrap, but we weren't hoarding shit.

Most boomers held silver through the 80's and into the 90's, a few still hold the stuff.

but nobody was hoarding it in the 60's because the difference between face and spot was small and scrapping coins was illegal. The cost of hoarding was large back when you could get a new car for a couple grand or a house for less than ten grand. You about had to be rich to hoard change because it was worth a hell of a lot more back then.

yes, the value hasn't changed much, the price has.

but all that means is boomers in the 60's didn't get nearly as much change, and it was much harder to hoard it. The disappearance of silver from circulation was due to massive black market melting projects, which is well documented. Also it's part of the excuse they used to stop minting silver coins. We had the same problem with copper in the 70's, leading to the replacement of the copper penny.

I just thought it was a bit contradictory in your statement that nobody was hoarding yet it was somehow being mass molten down... either way there were some people holding, like my grandfather (passed away 2018 RIP) saved all his dollars and gave them to my dad who still has 99% of them. 10 years ago he sold a few that had been graded and we went to a coin store to buy some cheapies that started my stack, essentially trading a piece of silver for three pieces. Also you won't stop me from holding all this copper coinage. 100 copper pennies for a silver dollar you just watch kek.

Yes, silver dollars were an obvious exception. All the boomers and most of their parents hoarded dollars. They never really circulated in my lifetime. They were just really cool, heavy coins so people grabbed them when they could. Halves and $2 bills were similar, rare to find in circulation and often collected.

but even those usually wound up getting sold at some point. It's rare to find a family that can afford to keep a coin collection for more than a generation or two. Hell, most people by themselves go broke at some point and sell.

The grandfather of my best friend as a kid was a Lebanese-American coin-op business owner starting in the 1950s, laundromats and the like, and when silver was replaced with clad he and his sons obsessively pulled it out and hoarded it. Between them they probably had over $10,000 face mostly in dimes squirreled away from the businesses and more in bullion obtained later. The first 100oz bar I ever held was an Engelhard my friend's dad had brought home while I was over hanging out to stash in the wall lol, they are a cool family. Around 2000 when silver was ~$5 gramps was over visiting one day and he was telling me about the Hunt brothers as though they were heroes and that he was certain silver would get to $50 again, it made quite an impression on me. Granted they were all much more intelligent, wealthy and business-savvy than the typical American but I'm sure they weren't the only forward thinkers who saw what was happening to the dollar and started hoarding silver in the 60s.

Every once in a while I post a 3D version of something with relief. This St. Michael shield has some decent relief, so here's today's experiment. You need red/cyan glasses of course, and preferably a big monitor or you'll have to pan around the pic viewing in 1:1 zoom to see it.

>Kek is still often spoken about as a funny internet meme in today’s society, especially in online forums.

>Kek has amassed a sizable fanbase in recent years, notably in specialized subreddits and social media communities. His popularity skyrocketed when he was linked to the viral “kekistan” joke that went viral on the social news aggregation platform Reddit. In the gaming community, the word “kek” is commonly used as a humorous shorthand for “LOL” or “laugh out loud.” Kek has also been mentioned in a wide variety of other media, including the wildly successful MMORPG World of Warcraft. When a member of the Horde speaks “lol” in Orcish, the Alliance member sees the word “kek” instead. The term has subsequently entered common use, not only in the gaming industry but also in the world of politics.

The creator of this Kek coin is most definitely a shit poster, and is probably giggling themselves silly reading this post I've made about it here. I guess I will never know.

Yes, that's what I said

people weren't hoarding
businesses were
mostly businesses that dealt in coins

and even those were usually selling the stuff for scrap. My boomer relatives all lost money on silver in the 80's and 90's because they bought high and sold low. I think that was a huge factor in most boomers turning against pm's over time. Silver got really popular but it never did anything. Couple decades later it's still not doing much of anything.

we've been predicting the fall of the dollar and the rise of silver since at least the 60's, and that is happening VERY SLOWLY. Meanwhile houses and the stock market and even new corvettes have made incredible gains while gold and silver limp along with inflation.

>people weren't hoarding
>businesses were

The grandfather operated businesses but the coins weren't hoarded on behalf of the business, he and his sons hoarded the silver personally. Their old Victorian family home got eminent domained in the late 90s and before turning it over for demolition they basically gutted the place looking for all the little hoards gramps and the sons as teens in the 60s-70s had forgotten about. Most of the smaller hoards, like socks full of merc dimes, were hung from wires or strings inside walls or blind spots of crawl/deadspaces, but the main hoard that they remembered was $2,500 face in coins that gramps buried somewhere in the basement floor. If they ever found it they did a good job of keeping quiet, I was told they never found it and believe that it's still under the parking lot of a now-vacant grocery store. Regardless of the status of the main hoard my friend showed me the sock hoards he recovered and told me about the bountiful treasure the adult sons and grandkids all found, the house was a treasure-hunters' dream.

I see this being relisted by the same seller for 2 months, and he always lower the price a bit more each time.. i'm really starting to get tempted frens..

It's silver bracelets from the 19th c. who are offered as dowry when a man wanna purchase a woman from a nubian tribe.
Those fuckers are pretty heavy : 790gr (25.4oz), and now the pricetag is down to 250€ (from 750 lol), so basically 10€/oz. They usually aren't that heavy, so it probably was to buy the daughter of a tribe's boss, or a real qt.

But the main problem is the fine silver content, i really don't think the bracelets are fake, but back then there were zero hallmark systems in Africa, so it could be 90% as well as 50%..
That's the risky part.

Would you take the risk if you had the opportunity to buy those frens?

The machines required to clone people are full of silver and where i work i swear they have clones... along with these patents. I disagree with you that silver has been limping along with inflation, it has kept up a lot more than the dollar has considering it in terms of purchasing power.

Mine aren't for sale because my house sits on one of them and the other 2 have been in my family since the 1800's.

They're only worth a couple thousand dollars, and they don't sell on the open market. But what you do is go on the assessor's homepage and find the names and addresses of owners. About half of them are individuals like me. So you write them a letter with a cash offer and somebody guaranteed will sell you one. I won't, but somebody will.

as to whether or not you ever get to mine that silver, I wouldn't know. It hasn't happened in my lifetime. As I said, we need silver above $50 and it has to stay there. Because our silver is deep, and not easy to get to. Super rich though, and lots of it.

I don't. But if I was going to I'd have to run several hundred feet of shaft through soft overburden and then worthless country rock to get down to the silver. Then I'd have to run pumps constantly to keep the shafts dry. After that, it's just a matter of getting permission to blast rock underneath a town full of people and stores. yep, we literally hauled out rooms of pure silver bigger than a house. Aspen holds the record for largest silver nugget ever, but only because we cut ours up and melted them instead of trying to haul the entire hillside out in one piece. Both towns mined basically pure silver by the 100s of tons per day. Most of that silver is gone, but what's left is still billions of dollars worth.

They had a system in which when you wouldshow up to the exchange office tell them your unique password phrase to access your account. Then you pulled a lever and it would ratchet a tick [like a gumball machine] and a gear would be spun by this, and through hole would show a number on that gear and that would serve as the account value holder. Along with a non fungible wooden token coming out of the machine as form if a receipt, a man with a long nose and a funny little hat was supposed to be standing nearby when coinage was deposited to then write down the read values on a ledger, down next to the name of the depositer. This system was fine when it involved honest people as the romans could come back to redeem their tokens for deposits but as time passed and as more of the long nose tribe began to move into the area, every excuse in the book was thrown at the depositors to prevent them from getting their coins back, bank holidays, closing on sunday (their sabbath for oral circumcision rituals) and even changing the design of the wooden tokens as means to obsoletize the former wood tokens Anyway these institutions were accepting deposits for tokens with the promise that interest would be paid for an amount of time that the coins be placed in there. Often times people would forget their phrases for redemption, sometimes they would die prior to pulling back out [the long nose tribe had friends at the doctors office giving out poison injections for this reason], or they would outright find that the building where they put their coins into, is completely gone, the site gone and the exchange closed down and boarded up, or they would even have their tokens eaten by termites at shlomos token storage which was beside stienowitz' pest control operating front..

Some has changed, not lots, but the light is shining through the splits in the supporting beams.hop in for the long drive, the wonder of coincidence on account of the divine providence of God is increasing with more silver being pulled in and its piles' mass pulling in more... wonder. I do need help.. help in observing the wonder, my brothers here check digits on the web hang out [here] with the GCP dot rising and falling at the whims of my observations of tightly coiled springs of light bumping back and forth between two fine spaces of a micrometer opened up to about 7 tenths .0007" the silver has not upgraded my DNA but repaired it to its true form, what we see now as normal and call schitzo is backwards because boron and silver used to be commonly ingested but as the soil dries and the silver is piled away who knows where it is up to us anons with W O N D E R to theorize and remotely view the silver. The comex already has none, jp morgan might have some but where is the rest? Has it all made its way into our pockets, dormant until the mext supply squeeze demanding supply of silver wire for mind reading machines that barely work and can only pick up me saying
>ngigger ngigger ngigger
On repeat. The silver in our hands is best because it is the money and liquid lubricant of differing commodic transactionary purchases. The encumbrance of maldecision is misfortune when failing to stack silver. Got all my machines up and running now its time to kick back, relax, pop open a cold water, and schizo post through the power of unhinged, fully open brain valves. Balls to the walls because the centrifugal governers weights are being pushed up and out by the steam passingbyer. Acid eaters have nothing on the mind powers of the supersaturatedsilversolution andits benefits.

Everybody here talking about silver for when SHTF but I don't care about shit hitting some fan after the collapse. I only care about how much silver I'm going to need in order to huff juicy femboy bussy queefs everyday from a new piece of ass. What will the going rate be? Are merc dimes still the ideal coomer currency during the collapse or have all the greedy sluts moved on to buffalo rounds?

I was reborn in 2020 through pain and suffering, an accident almost destroyed my body but through the power of God i was unharmed aside from a rugburn. Then i began shitposting and buying silver because if the new free time i had. Now i am back at the machine shop. Aerospace companies and cnc machines. More moneh more problems i doubt anyone here wants a job i can pay in silver, dollar wage amount in ounces. All you have to do is sit there and if the machine goes BRRRRRttTYTyRRrrrr=/=== just press that red button and I'll come waltzing in to resetitup then ill even train you to do the same so you can have a good rec and then apply to another company with like a union snd super high wages and war gravy even. A small chunk of what i do is war gravy, i try to keep as much as possible civilian aircraft but even that works its way into mimitary because many propeller planes and "private jets" are running surveilling operations for land topography. Running topography operations for land surveying there we go. We made these boxes that mount to the plane, holding a camera, which is wired in by the place 3 buildings over, no shipping costs between us. The j3w fears the aerospace industry.

This is mostly true. What's been omitted is the inception of the donkey show, and their acceptance of payment actually being the genesis of BTC. Roman government preferred BLACKKKED RAW entertainment over the more traditional, neo classical demonstration of a woman and a meth-fueled donkey on horny goat weed and other blue gas station dick pills from 7-11, thus requiring the promoters of the donkey show to petition an open exchange with lower fees, and begin accepting BTC, XMR and ETH in exchange for VIP seats to the donkey show. usually the performances would climax and evolve from regular theater to genuine, mutual affection between the woman and the donkey, and the promoters needed a way to accept tips mid-show at the point of this transition from performance to spiritual love-making. the solution was obvious, have the audience update their smart phones to accomodate the new Coinbase update so payments could be issued via QR code, which was a giant swastika hung above the stage, indicative of the power of Hitler's cleansing being so powerful, that it actually went back in time and established itself then.

Oh they downplay it alright.
>Quick reminder that the jweish paper ponzi scheme relies on rehypothecation of silver, printing out upwards of 500 IOU paper slips promising a unit of silver for every physical unit of silver they hold. This in turn creates an artificial supply ehich drives the price down so that they can recapture shares they borrowed at a high [often from 401ks and investors pockets] then sold for shorting options. They can be squeezed and they get squeezed every time the value umps to another price point.
Also b4 i make the higher denominations of these im waiting to see how the ratios of base metals pan out to the silver and gold. Right now about 600 nickels can buy you an oz of silver. About 100 oz of CuNi is an oz of silver at the current shorted silver price. Nickels shorted 5x and silver 5-500x so I have been throwikg darts at historical values of exchange as well as observing the crustal abundance ratio. By the way isaac newton owned a ton of gold and decided the ratios ifni recall correctly. But by crustal abundance nickel, zinc, or copper is upwards of 1 to close to 1000. Silver is super shorted socit throws a wrench into any ratios which id like to have for my new currency for when deflatio rolls out in the interim phase where people have that coin probationary acceptance. Go from fiat to IOU slips redemptive to Coinage and bullion.

You know what? That's a very good point! The seller also sell women tunics from the same arab tribe/era, and there are thalers and others silver coins from this period stitched on them, so it's more than likely you are correct.

>do you know if bracelets/anklets like those were ever made with a base metal core with silver sheeting on the outside?
I can't tell you with certainty, i'm not familiar enough with their practices, but would tiny tribes have this kind of savoir-faire?

Wire transfer requires you to have a valid driver's license and to go to your bank in person. You may need to make an appointment to do so.
Payment by check is you sending a physical paper check to the bullion dealer after you have made your purchase online.
ACH and e-check are very similar and you'll need your bank routing number as well as your account number, and may go through an automatic middle man payment service when you make your purchase. When paying by e-check you can simply make up a four digit check number if you don't own any physical paper checks. Be sure to keep track of this number and don't use it again for future purchases.

/pmg/ has pretty much overtaken every other general at this point. Is it over for cryptofags?

better hope not because /biz/ is the crypto containment board. This place was never built for actual business or investment discussion.

tax evasion and fraud have always been a thing here. Back in the day /pmg/ threads were actually just about buying fake gold off aliexpress and selling it to suckers.

Yes asking would be the most direct solution but their website says they base their production runs on waitlist participation. It is likely that any round with a waitlist isn't discontinued although I suppose if a die cracks then that waitlist would have to grow to a significant size before they consider a production run or a discontinuation might be on the menu.

Scared me into looking. Whew! - ebay purchases seem to be anonymized in terms of *what* was purchased, so using it for that is a win for me.

> Instead of looking for vintage Lego sets and other collectors toys I'm now looking at second hand or old `coin collections'.
Vintage Lego sets. That’s so insane. I get paying good money for used, old Lego’s because they’re just better than the new stuff, but this whole >sealed box nonsense? WTF. They’re meant for kids, to play with! Mine are all just in one big box (together with the legos my dad played with), waiting for my kids to play with them. Same with old comics. Yes, they have some value and you should treat them well (as you should about any book) but if you don’t read them, they’re worthless!
But the coin collection idea sounds good. But no estate sales here, only our local eBay equivalent and most people seems to know what they got.

Anons, what do you think of SSLV by Invesco? I have had Sprott in the past, but the cancer broker Degiro doesn't allow me to trade that one anymore
