Would have a marketcap close to 20 TRILLION.

I just don't see it getting that high. If crypto ever got the adoption to the level where that much money would even pour into the market, chances are it would be flooding into coins with superior tech.

Nobody is going to ever use BTC as a global currency. They would use other coins. I just can't see a possible 50 trillion dollar market where it's all in bitcoin. People would move on realizing coins with actual use are the proper investments.

Keep in mind that many bitcoin are permanently lost, so it wouldn't effectively have a market cap that high

>> No.5505726

global stock market is 20 tril + while you cant even daytrade unless you have 20k in your account or you get frozen that's 5 trades a week.
Bitcoin is global market and anybody with access to internet can buy bitcoin cash even with 5 dollars. Bitcoin you would need atleast 100 bucks to buy because of 50 dollar fees

Also say it got to 10 trillion or around 500k. Why would anyone pay risk 500k into BTC when another TRILLION into the cap means it only moves 50k?

If they truly were speculators there would probably be better opportunities than that.

No way. We are reaching full crypto normie awareness now. In a couple of years time everyone will know of the whole crypto space, not just Bitcoin. Anyone joining at that point is going to ask "Why would I buy Bitcoin over any of these other tokens?". The FMA will be worth less, the interesting origin story will be worth less.

Look at Altavista or AOL. Look at iPhones. Market dominance for first movers only lasts for a limited amount of time. Almost nobody would even try to argue that Bitcoin will be the best coin technologically in 5 years. It might not crash. It might retain value or even grow for as long as it is the reserve currency, but there is literally no reason to think that Bitcoin will be the dominant coin indefinitely, just because it was the first.
Even if the total amount of money in crypto goes 50x, there is no way that even the majority of that is going to go into Bitcoin.

Nicely put, exactly my thoughts.

Thatd be fun if bitcoin was $1 million. I'd still buy into Alts 1 btc at a time.
