I am unironically afraid of driving. My mind constantly conjures up scenarios of death, misery, and uncertainty. I don't trust anyone on the road. I also get either too focused or start to daydream. I can't fuckin relax behind the wheel. It is immensely stressful to drive in cities.
I deal with fuckin HF acid and liquid nitrogen on a daily basis but can't fuckin cope with cars. Fuckin end me. Every time my parents call me and ask what's up and I tell them that I've failed the driver's test yet again... you can just hear the disappointment.

My main motivation was that I took an uber and the pajeet driver was so fucking shitty and dangerous that I knew I could do better than him, and I realized it was even more risky to rely on random 3rd worlders to drive me around.

All this fake crying about car infrastructure is retarded, cars are objectively the most free method of travel, nothing else competes. Nobody fucking enjoys waiting for a bus or a train, sharing it with the public, and then having to transfer or walk out of their way because the stop isn't close enough to where you're going and it takes 2-5x longer than if you could just drive. And if you're picking something up like a package (LOL it's a whole ordeal to get a missed package without a car) or groceries it means you have to carry that shit everywhere.

If I were to rank the best purchases to improve your quality of life:
1) is having a place of your own with no roommates
2) having a car you can just get in and go wherever you want whenever you want
3) gigabit internet
4) decent bed

There's really no other material possession that could significantly improve your life, except a private jet but that's out of reach for almost everyone.
