These assets yield like shit. In Canada the average Condo/House is bringing in about 3% cash flow BEFORE TAX... after tax the net income of a renting a house or condo out is about 2%, and if you have any unpredicted expenses it's more like 1%.

The return on asset for a house is literally around 1-2%.... meanwhile there's stocks yielding 10% on their free cash flow and earnings. I will never buy a real estate property unless there's a massive correction. I'd much rather just pay my $30k rent on my MILLION DOLLAR condo, and if I ever get a million dollars I'll have it earning me 100k a year.
