Hey /biz/! Have you guys heard about Ledger's latest firmware update? They just introduced a new feature called Ledger Recover, which allows users to link their passport or government-issued identification card to their cryptographic seed phrase. It's supposed to be an ID-based key recovery service. What do you think about it? Is your hardware wallet safe this way?

They got the apple designer in specifically to

The idea of crypto. E.g. that it's on some kewl easy to use wallet. Le mass adoption.

They are obviously anticipating getting millions of irate emails and complaints to ombudsmen etc when half of their user base loses the seeds and then accuses ledger of swindling their coin out of them.

It's funny, because four- five days ago I made a thread about noticing how the company Ledger consists of mainly jews.
Sadly I noticed after ordering it.
My Nano S came yesterday and today I see this news.
Pretty much everyone on here was telling me i'm just being paranoid and there's no way for the jews at Ledger to get my keys.

As the internet grew in value it became more and more regulated (aka censored and centralized), if you're around 30 you know what I mean because you experienced it.
Cryptos will be worth tens of trillions but it will be a golden jail, the thing is you will be too rich to care as money buys freedom.
