Digital IDs (DIDs) will be one of the major developments of the next couple of years, and they will allow us to reconcile regulatory demands with DeFi autonomy. Markets move on narratives and DIDs are a fresh and genuine usecase for blockchain, and unironically one of the most crucial components of the bridge between crypto/blockchain and “the real world”. Think of them like oracles but for identity - anarchyfags can seethe but blockchain takeover will never happen without some kind of KYC/AML, and the applications are endless. For just one example, consider the possibility of undercollateralised loans, e.g. mortgages, through crypto - that will never happen without some knowledge of the borrower’s credit worthiness, i.e. an aspect of their credentials. It pays for on chain settlement of DID services. The likeliest end stage of KILT tokens is that they'll be bought by businesses and institutions who will just eat the cost to provide the service for their customerbase or add a fee for it. I don't think it will see crazy high price action as there is a ceiling attached to the value proposition but there'll very likely be a healthy long term market for KILT.

Speaking of valuations - something I didn't mention in my first post.

Very realistically KILT will be deep into the top 100, probably top 50, which means a valuation of several billion mcap at the very least. Call it a 100x from here, guaranteed. Anything beyond that is very possible as well.

The way I see it is simple supply & demand, supply already low and with adoption meaning KILT tokens locked with the creation of every new identity, KILT soon will be scarce af

No worries mate, light DIDs were a temporary concept to facilitate adoption, have much less capabilities, and - this is the most important part - will soon be deprecated, aka dead.

Especially now with the big boois on board (Deloitte & Co), this will happen sooner rather than later.
