I've been trying to get into in investing for the better part of 5 years now, but literally every time I buy something, it starts dumping. If I short something, it moons immediately. I'm not exaggerating, I happens literally every time.
>do the opposite of what you would normally do
I've done that. I've controlled myself and waited for 20% dips but whatever I buy keeps dumping. And these aren't speculative shitcoins either. It can be Bitcoin, Alphabet stock, QQQ, precious metals. It doesn't matter. How the fuck do I actually scope out an entry?

tldr how do I profit from not being allowed to make it?

5 years? You realize you would've been doing great if you just accumulated btc for those first 2 years. Even if you held through the entire run, you would still be up 5x to 10x depending on your cost average.

Yeah but the part your missing is that if I had done that btc would have just dumped the entire time ruining it for everybody

You're not that powerful. Stop coping and accept your failures.

I know. But I need to figure out a way to trade against my natural judgement.

>I'm buying high selling low
Sounds like you haven't properly countertraded your emotions

Buy BCH and hold it for 2 months. If you can't do that, then just give up.

How many trades have you made in the 5 years? If it's more than 10, you're probably gambling and not trading.

>> No.54963578

because you're being manipulated. you read crypto news and watch crypto youtubers and even /biz/. whatever bought off narratives they're selling you ate it up. you thought you were coming to your own conclusions but those conclusions came from the information you received and you came to the conclusions they wanted you to come to.

do you know what dca is? it's when you give up trading and just average into a bear and average out in a bull little 10% chunks of your portfolio in dips and pumps

>> No.54963614

rather then buy all at once you buy slowly over months. taking profit in a similar way. can strategically aim for dips and pumps or just set a schedule.

if you had bought bitcoin every last friday of every month for the last 5 years no matter the price. how much btc would you have now? compared to 5 years of trading

five fucking years !? all you had to do was dca and hodl.

You're fomoing without rational

>> No.54963697

>>54963653
I wouldn't say it's without rationale. Like for instance last year I went long on a few blue chip stocks in March or April or so when everything was down like 15% from the previous highs. This is a lot for stocks so I figured it was a good entry. I just figured wrong.
>>54963578
I get you. But there are narratives for every position and direction at all times.

I don't remember making this post wtf.

It sounds like a different case, your mistakes a year ago are not necessarily your mistakes now.

If you jumped into a trade after it fell 15% and kept dumping, you rational was wrong and you caught a falling knife.

There's a lot of stuff I do when making decisions about my trades I don't know what you're doing so it's hard to pin point the issues, it just sounds like issues I had when I was gambling or basing my trades on "it's down I buy" or "omg rally I must get"

Dunno about precious metals/trad stocks/whatever since I only play the crypto game but it's pretty hard to fuck up with say, $LTC, or $BNB. Things like that that have proven time and time again to be very solid positions. You can also try getting into IDOs since they usually x4 due to initial hype. Nilo is one project that'll be releasing soon, and if you check their twitter/tg channel you can see there's interest there. Hence, buy cheap, sell when it launches for a profit. Etc.
