ICP made too many concessions in security and decentralisation for the sake of scaling, and in the end produces something that isn't particularly appealing for those looking for blockchain solutions. While canisters are certainly cheap, nodes are entirely permissioned, lack shared security and are easily censored. I think ICP still has a lot of potential but they really should have prioritised decentralisation over scaling when setting the foundations of the project.
