The PROBLEM is that legitimate use is near impossible now, meaning no one wants to use it legitimately, meaning the only people using it are people shilling shitcoins on BRC-20.
The worse the problem gets, the fewer people will be using it, and the larger the speculative element becomes.
Once the speculative market for BRC-20 garbage bursts, everyone involved bails for the next big thing.
Who's going to pay the fees if the only people still using it fuck off because they've drained every ounce of speculative value from it?

>We will see more records being broken in the next 1-2 weeks and if those niggers keep paying these crazy fees then everything is legitimate
But that's kinda the problem, people are already complaining about them and we've barely seen any real BRC-20 adoption.
What needs to happen is that someone needs to look into how their system works on a lower level, then implement changes within the BTC core repo to cripple their system.
I wish I knew what that were but I am not nearly familiar enough with either BRC-20 or the actual core repo to comment on that.

Even so, BTC is so valuable, miners will continue to mine and if people want their stupid jpegs, they'll pay for them. 99% of them are wash trading/fomo traps from whales, I bet.

Yeah but that's the problem, it's not new users, it's unprecedented bloat that's getting worse by the hour.
The average transaction fee earlier today was 1/10th what the non-priority fee is right now.
Just try to imagine what'll happen as BRC-20 sees wider adoption.
It needs to be stomped out now before it has the chance to completely fuck L1 txn fees any further.

they would need hard fork to kill taproot, not gonna happen with blockstream around and even if it did happen it will split the chain, too many people like the idea of bringing eth features to btc

L1 is no longer meant to be used for bitcoin transactions, unless you pay 600 sat/vb fee and god forbid you dont need multiple UTXOs for input. money talks, miners eat good and nobody gives a fuck about the average user who wants to use the network for its intended purpose and pay for his VPS/graphics card/whatever with their BTC.

BRC-20 is an obvious exit scam tactic.

>shill everyone to get their BTC off exchanges for months
>clog up the network with shitcoin scams, identical to ETH, the first scam shitcoin to make it big
>when nobody can move their coins, dump it

Thanks for playing, goyim.
