for those who are staking when token withdrawals/pool opens up eoy,
1. those inside the pool will have the option to continue staking, OR do we get kicked out and have to rush back into the pool (basically, have we secured a slot in the staking pool permanently ?)
2. whats the play when staking unlock occurs, withdraw rewards or just restake everything? and secure a coveted staking spot in the pool?

strategic optimization of link staking discussion is welcomed, and appreciated

you don't have to "restake", you'll just gain the option of withdrawing from the pool. if you're already in the pool then you don't have to do anything to stay in.
personally i have 40% of my total stack staked and i will be keeping it that way when 1.0 goes live.

Because that doesn't get my wallet priority access for every single future version of the official Chainlink staking pool nor does it give me BUILD airdrops or fees from big DeFi protocols like GMX.

Do you think the allotment will double? (i.e. you can stake 14K rather than 7K).

Also, I had an eligible wallet (my ledger) that I was not able to stake last time because I hadn't updated it's software. Do you think it will now qualify for the new allotment (i.e. I can stake 28K from my two wallets)?

I highly doubt that, at least the next version. They've got to cap it otherwise OGs like me would fill that up quickly leaving the smaller holders no option to stake. No requirements with new pools will probably be the case when v2.0 goes live in like...12-18 months.

Seriously, how many of us have 7k staked out of between 10k & 20k total LINK held? We alone are poised to possess collectively an enormous portion of the entire human+ GDP, each comfortably within the elite sub-1%ers. If everyone with no less than 7k staked (regardless of how many more are staked or otherwise held) could earn a "7k Early Staker" badge -- an NFT+ -- and if possession of this 7k badge granted a seat in some sort of deliberating & voting council like a Parliament (or whatever), we'll, then, I think that would be just fine... would others here care to expound & expand upon this implied steering committee or whatnot...?

Yeh it's been a dull couple of years since the high. I have no regrets about not selling though, and would do the same again. I've learned before from panic selling that you're very likely to fuck it up. Holding is really the way and iron hands will be rewarded. It also annoys the fuck out of fudders, which makes it a bit easier, too.
There is definitely a stoic pride about sticking to your guns with this project, and the 'golden ticket' analogy I find very appropriate. Don't let it go or you may lose it. The low price action has been a gift, for those with eyes to see.
