i have 5 years of software engineering experience and i can't even get a job.

I'm simultaneously under and overqualified, cus I never went to university but I'm more competent than the average PhD. Nobody wants to pay my old salary anymore. I've been out of work for 5 months so the employment scarring is about to kick in.
