I think its safe to assume SMG is the most enlightened and (richest) part of biz assuming correlation of critical insight of discussion with wealth building. I have gone on XMR general to argue the strengths and weaknesses of monero and bitcoin from a socioeconomic cultural standpoint and have gotten nothing but shitpost back showing me they dont consider the purpose of their investment. I go on XSG and point out that its a failed project and casually mention btc to get angry (you)s. I wont even begin to bring up chainlink threads as they just go from bad to worse. I really think the sign of someone with high status boils down to zero emotion with their business strategy. You never see bezos or buffett flinch in public. You never see jamie dimon lose his cool, maybe over bitcoin but rest is just zero emotion. Saudi family for example is always on point to press. Only people you should show weakness to is immediate family cause they are the one asset class you should never sell for gain simple as.

What was expected was a loss in profit of around 10%, and instead they raised their profit by 10% and showed that one of their major markets (China) was several months ahead of schedule in terms of revenue as they reemerge from Covid lockdowns.

They also improved efficiency and had more customers shop more often and spend more at their older stores.

I'm well aware of what HQLA is, what constitutes HQLA levels, and the various regulatory ratios surrounding required capital.
Banks should never be forced to liquidate assets to cover deposits, and there are regulatory ratios that ensure as much.
If it comes down to it banks borrow from FHLB to fund loans and large deposit outflows.

They currently have like $70b cash on hand, enough to cover a few more collapses, with the ability to tap/levy fees against JP Morgan's fortress balance sheet. And that's before talking about yoinking money from Yellen's checking account, much less Fed intervention.

I could see at the very worst you have like 5 FRC/SVB size banks all fail over the weekend, plus anon's (by sheer dumb luck), then the FDIC has some too-big-to-fail banks pitch in billions of dollars and Congress rushes through a bipartisan bill over the weekend that raises the debt limit by a quarter trillion with instructions to yeet it over to the FDIC.

Markets would shit bricks (and anon should focus on trading that chaos) but on Monday his little $5k account will be functioning the same as it did Friday while maybe some local business's $500k account only has $100k restored until Tuesday.

Democrats were demanding more money printing and attacking Trump for not doing more stimulus. The economy was in a strong rebound at the end of 2020, and things went to shit with inflation in late 2021.Democrats and their counterparts like Trudeau were still locking down and trying to push UBI at the start of 2022, when the trucker protests happened. Here's their Q4 presentation: https://www.ab-inbev.com/assets/pressreleases/2023/ABInBev%204Q22%20Webcast_External.pdf

All brands in North America were 29% of their earnings.

Here's their 20-F (foreigner annual report): https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1668717/000119312523073993/d447566d20f.htm#tx447566_22

These are all their brands in the US:
>Beer and Beyond Beer: 10 Barrel, Beck’s, Blue Point, Breckenridge, Bud Ice, Bud Light, Bud Light Lime, Bud Light Platinum, Bud Light Platinum Seltzer, Bud Light Seltzer, Bud Light Chelada, Bud Light Next, Bud Light Orange, Budweiser, Budweiser Chelada, Budweiser Zero, Budweiser Select, Busch, Busch 0.0%, Busch Light, Busch Light Apple, Busch Ice, Cutwater, Devil’s Backbone, Elysian, Estrella Jalisco, Four Peaks, Golden Road, Goose Island, Hoegaarden, Hurricane, Karbach, Kona, Landshark, Leffe, Michelob Ultra, Michelob Ultra Infusions, Michelob Ultra Pure Gold, Michelob Ultra Seltzer, Naturdays, Natural Light, Natural Ice, Natty Daddy, NUTRL, O’ Douls, Presidente, Redhook, the Rita family, Rolling Rock, Shock Top, Stella Artois, Wicked Weed, Widmer

So yes, if you have a total boycott of Bud, and Busch, and Michelob, and Natty Ice, and O'Douls, and Stella (plus Corona and Modelo which are missing from that list for some reason) then BUD could drop from 63 to 45.

Well I couldn't find exact 2022 numbers from BUD themselves but here's some 2021 data from some randos. Bump it up by 10% or so for inflation, assume they didn't lose market share last year, and you're looking at, what, a little over $8b in Bud and Bud specialty sales? For a year with $55b in sales.

Again, this isn't gonna drive BUD to $10 or something.
