don't interpret this as me saying accounting is the BEST career ever, it's definitely not, but it gets an unfair reputation and is treated like a bottom of the barrel job when it's an above average but low prestige position. what else are you gonna do, work 80-90 hours year round in IB for 50-100% more pay? or join the money shufflers on wall street or in asset management, both of which are overcrowded. unless you're smart enough to be a quant, then none of that shit applies to you and go on over to levels.fyi and optiver comp instead of paying any attention at all to average white collar careers
