So since it's a "security", a mutual fund specifically, instead of actual cash in the account, my understanding is that there is a 30 day hold period on most mutual funds before they become "marginable" and then you can do some goombling. I guess it depends on what kind of goombling you do. I do option contracts. I wouldn't be buying long shares this way
