Tip for anons: look around your local coin dealer's melt bucket or a reasonable pawn shop. You can pay as little as small percent above scrap weight +stones if they're anal. Mom paid $300 for an engagement ring that retails for $5k, sells on eBay for $2.3k. I bought a Belgian made emerald ring for $108 that last sold at auction for $1.7k.
