34 years old is too late to start over and change careers, isnt it?

No. It only takes a few years to get to full speed in a new career. If your pay is good enough, you'll be able to spend a normal amount on your lifestyle that you'd be spending regardless of your net worth. You'll still save enough to retire comfortably too.

It's not ogre, but I'll still warn other anons that this isn't ideal. If you get a good career in your early to mid 20's, your 30's are god-tier because you have plenty of money, are moving up in the world, and are young and virile enough to enjoy it.

Depends. If you're in a shit spot maybe it will pay off. I think its too risky and have resigned myself to remain miserable, but competent and well paid. I'll never get out of IT, but at least I can earn a decent living until the singularity.

If this were me, I'd probably rush a CS/software development degree on WGU, lie about having years of experience, and explain that I took a break from work to get the degree because it was on my bucket list. You just need to carny one company into giving you a good job and work there for a year or two before you can jump to another company without lying (which makes your employment a lot more stable). Depending on your salary, you might be able to catch up quickly. And even if things still suck, just get a remote job and move to SEA where a mediocre guy with a bunch dollarydoos is treated like a god.

Go to a plumbing trade school.
No one wants to be a plumber cuz you have to deal with disgusting working conditions, but because it's both a fairly high skilled job, and you have to dig though shit, you'll get paid well.
Plumbers can easily make six figures.

I would be careful with trades. It's not good if you're super ambitious. It pays well, but it's not like many plumbers are promoted to COO. CS is actually kind of similar, but has the benefit that you can get your MBA and then jump into a managerial job. Plumbing is the job for the guy who just wants to make good money and buy a homestead to raise his family on.

Why don't you look at a sideways move using your experience? One example is studying law and specialising in that field which you worked.
Can shift into much higher pay and start your own firm once established.

I could never larp as a queer man. I larped as a 20 year old when I started college late and had some 22 year old talk down to me telling me how life is gonna be so crazy when I’m older and to “stay away from girls” and I wanted to fucking kill him. I couldn’t imagine having to nod along to being a queer while the guy interviewing me is already greentexting a thread on /pol/ about how he’s going to deny a faggot

If you're trying to get a normie position as a salaried employee, yes it's a bit late.

HOWEVER, it's not too late to start your own business. It'll suck at first, but after 2-3 years it'll be way better than wage slaving for somebody else and their stupid policies.

Retard. The smart ones run their own business and end up doing a million a year in revenue. No, the genius plumbers WON'T be promoted to King Wagie. They'll work for themselves and build something where once they looked and saw nothing, and what they've built will be themselves.

There are two ways to make a million dollars. One is to work for yourself. And the other is to make some cocksucker a billionaire. The choice is yours, White Man.

No. It'll be difficult, more or less so depending on your network/what position/industry you want to get into but it's doable. Do you have savings? Family you could stay with while building your new career? You got this anon, no matter what don't give up and keep trying for a life that makes you happy.
