Bought $1000 of LTC at $415 in December 2017. 15 minutes later cb suspended trading. Held for about two weeks until the founder (Charlie Lee) sold all his shares then traded all my LTC for BRD, BNB, and ADA. The market crashed and at one point my $1000 investment was worth less than $80. About 3 years later I started staking my ADA and rode that through the bull market selling it all in 2021 for $3,200. I took my money and ran, I'll never again put anything in crypto.

I also had like 3BTC that got confiscated when silk road got shut down but it was only like $80 total at the time. I basically lost what could've been a Lambo because I wanted to buy weed over the Internet and not store my coins in a proper wallet.

I swore off leverage in 2018 when I blew my portfolio the first time. traded the entire bullrun 2020-2021 without leverage....mostly winning during the early uniswap days. felt like I underperformed though...and I did... because I sold so many golden tickets too early. multiple million dollar mistakes from having paper hands.

I made plenty of gains during the uniswap days buying a shitcoin and selling it for a quick flip after it'd run 2-5x. I have been on this board since 2013 when it was first made, and still have not made it.

2013-2015 it was just threads about dropshipping and what degree to get

Then in 2016 crypto blew up but I experienced familial problems and became homeless. I only got my shit together in late 2017, at which point I realized I had missed the ship. So I sold all my excess shit, got some money together, TOOK OUT A 5 FIGURE LOAN, and bought crypto. Did a 5x in Dec 2017 and then obviously took a 99% loss throughout 2018. Oh yeah and then my Cryptopia got hacked with all my worthless alts and so technically that made it -100%.

I hustled hard as fuck at my deskjob and paid off my loan in like 1 year, ate oatmeal and McChickens for like 8 months straight and just put every dime into that shit, because the APR was insane and I just had to get that monkey off my back.

Around 2019-2020 I did manage to buy 1.25 BTC at around 14k and 3 ETH at around $500, but because I was so emotionally and mentally scarred from the previous alt-coin raping that I had I didn't go into any alts throughout 2020-2022, so I missed SHIB, SUSHI and all that other shit. Oh yeah, and I didn't sell the top at 69k , still holding.

If I had sold the top I would be at maybe 20k profit, but as it stands current net loss is like -25k. Fucking brutal for me since I'm a regular working class bloke with broke boomer parents.

Any other normal guy with 80 IQ would be a millionaire 3 times over if they had been here since 2013, and then there's me.
