Fastest way to move from USD > BTC > BURST?

Got some dosh for Christmas that I want to put into BURST. What's the fastest method of doing so? Need to own BURST before the 27th announcement but shitty ass Coinbase says the transaction may take until the 3rd of January. There are certainly better options, someone more knowledgeable than I am please enlighten me.
