I have about $150k in crypto. Do you think it'd be wise to sell some for a downpayment on my first home?

Home I'm looking at is around $100k.

Can you live with knowing that $100k will be worth $500k-$1m possibly more in the next 5 years or so?

I'd be good with that because a house now is a house and I aint got no use for a million bucks anyway. I'd buy the house.

Actually Id probably buy $150k worth of ark.

Get a duplex for like 80k and rent out the other side, get a roommate for your side to save maximum crypto capital

This is what I'm afraid of. But I'd like to buy a small first home to eventually pay off and rent out. I make $53k/yr and have about $12k saved up without selling.

But I'd prob kill myself if one btc hit $50k or something.

Suffer for now and buy it when you 5x your stack, or

Keep 50k in crypto, buy the home, and go all in on one of the high potential altcoins and HODL til EOY 2018.

It's your profit, do whatever you want with it. Though, that will be 100k that you wouldn't be able to invest, so that's up to you. If this house is really what you want and you don't need more than that, go for it. WHen I get double the amount I have to pay off debts, I'm going to take that money out and pay my debts.

Put all your money in ICX, wait two months, and buy the fucking home outright

Then the answer is clear. Take out a smaller amount as a down payment rather than paying off the house outright. 1/3 or 1/4 of your portfolio or whatever it needed sounds like it would be more manageable emotionally for you if btc hits $50k, or $100k or $1m or whatever.

The smartest investment is the one that causes you the least stress and worry.

>ARK
Fuck that shitcoin.

My portfolio would have performed better if I just held btc.

Bubble could also collapse and you would have nothing. Bizz memes with these coins, 1 law in one of the mayor blocks and it could all tumble down.

So here's a summary of what has happened in your life.
>ironically buy a pretend computer dollar
>computer tells me it's worth as much as an actual house
>I can unironically exchange the pretend computer dollars for an actual home
Now you're on a Dutch baking forum asking if it sounds like a good idea to exchange pretend money for a house many people work their lives to afford
