Some notes with XSP, it's the micro SPX or otherwise a index version of SPY. So if your broke and want to sell spreads with low capital a single point wide spread would cost you less than 100 bucks. Play your TA well and you could make 20-50 bucks per spread but that's entirely on your ability to manage it though.

So if you're able to use them stuff like the /MES would be perfect since you have a lower notational value and SPAN playing in your favor. That said I would only use future-options in a hand full of specific circumstances.
