I’m about to bounce from my company, because they refuse to give me a raise or a promo.

Why do they complain about how hard it is to find employees but refuse to promote workers or incentivize them to stay.

Not everyone is looking to constantly grind their way to the top. I've been at my company for 4 years now (2 years is the average for the "always be moving from jobs" mindset, I'm surprised you listed 4), and I haven't left because I like what I'm doing (writing programs in C), and my bosses are great and reasonable people - none of the retarded boomer bullshit about "you can't take a day off", none of the weird office politics, just go in, do your job, and if you're producing quality stuff in a reasonable time frame then they couldn't care less about the details of how you get there and what you do in your day to day. It's hard to jump from this relaxing, easy-going atmosphere to something that could be fucking insane, especially if you're already making an okay salary.
I'm only looking to move now because I can't justify a 77k salary anymore.
