The Fed cutting rates to zero is the exact reason why you want to buy bonds. It means that the bonds you hold will gain in value since new bonds will yield very little. TLT is going to 150 when the Fed restarts QE and ZIRP

REITs are suspectible to their underlying asset values tanking. Great they got a seven year debt cycle but if major markets dry up for renters due to recessions theyre going to get shishkebabob'd as they still have facility fees/taxes while the properties itself depreciate in value.

Except "QT", if that's what you want to call this past year and half's larp, is literally imploding the financial system. They can't hike too much more, however they can probably halt and keep rates high for a while before magically the world comes to a peace agreement just as things look the scariest. It was fucking insane. The drivers are also having full power psychotic breaks behind the wheel. It's untenable. Phoenix did have WAY more white people than I had been led to believe. I moved to Salt Lake City from dirty gross Houston a few years ago and love it here. Kind surprised at the amount of trans flags and LGBTPSP flags I see in yards though, really don't have much experience with rich white liberals (grew up around poor Mexicans and poor whites). Was expecting le based trad Mormons. Outside of that the area is very nice and very clean and so much shit to do outdoors, apparently the Salt Lake may dry up soon though but I'm not sure if that's a legitimate issue or some kind of effort to make me eat the bugs. Plus there's all kinds of little memey tech startups here plus legitimate young companies if you're into that "getting in on the ground floor" scene

Lower sales will mean that they will have to raise the prices of the individual unit to compensate for it.
Apple, for example, will not lower the prices for their phones. Never ever ever.
They will compensate lower sales with higher unit prices because their core customer base is rich as fuck.
Others will do so too.
This is clown world.

The chinese economy and the real estate bubble are two very different things. China had strong growth and a rising middle class on the back of a real industrial demand. The problem is that they have easy debt and not many ways to invest. Real estate ist the only thing the growing middle class can use the cheap debt available to them. Real estate is simple overvalued thanks to debt that creates a loop should the valuation actually drop. The real question with china is of course if the CCP allows that, instead of letting shadow lending to take a hit and blaming bad banks while they rescue the middle class. China is not the US, so you have to take expectations of the culture and the goverment into account.
