AMZN, I don't feel so good right now...

(copypasta from previous thread below)
>Twitch, AMZN owned subsidiary is worth $45 billion
>Never been profitable since 2014 purchase and even during golden years with pandemic, it barely broke even
>AWS makes about as much in a few days what Twitch makes in an entire year
>Company has repeatedly cut corners lately from decreasing sub splits to getting rid of more ways for streamers to make money ala AIP

Didn't Twitter keep propping up their "value" over and over again until Elon Musk eventually bought them out? Yeah, anyone that's paid any attention to Amazon's and Twitch's bullshit for the last few years can see the writing on the wall. AMZN is looking for any excuse to sell the damn thing off and make money on this sinking ship for once. My bet is either Tencent, Microsoft or...Elon buys Twitch.

It's more like a return of capital, not a dividend. If you want forced capital gains, just sell some stock.

The problem with all these covered call ETFs is that they can never rebound from crashes because they're selling calls and capping gains the whole ride up. JEPI was created after the covid crash, so you can't see it yet. XYLD and QYLD make the underperformance pretty obvious. Covered calls are a useful strategy, but require some element of timing to add any real value.

Okay; not gonna lie, those aren’t the best returns. I am doing this for the high yield factor. I need something to beat out my tax liens. Btw, look into property tax liens owned by your county; under the property appraiser. Auctions are starting soon and you legit will get 18% on principle for holding the liens until redemption/2 years. Whichever comes first. That’s 9% annual. That’s legit my business and it can be yours too!

When you buy distressed loans at 20% APY, you've gotta assume at least 5-10% are going to default. More if the economy declines and we see unemployment spike.
Consider that these peer-to-peer lending platforms are taking a stupidly large cut, and the expected returns are pretty mediocre.

What ratios do you look at when selling call spreads? Pic related is what I may exercise tomorrow for AAPL.

Out of curiosity wouldn't a risk:reward of 4:1 with a 73% of probability mean if this exact was running identify it would basically net return negative? Say I ran this scenario four times, I would profit $150 ($50 x 3) after my first three runs, but the fourth run would get exercised and lose $200 resulting in -$50. Is this correct?

Bullbros we win again. Those pussies can't or won't do anything and the market has successfully called out on it. I honestly wonder what these people even do at their jobs. Just look at the piece of garbage they are printing lately. "Oil/gasoline/gas prices down because of recession and no demand and what have you"... and yet refilling my car is only becoming more expensive. if the principal of the bond is below 50% you can long the bond and short the stock for a highly probably profit and a guaranteed breakeven
example is bbby
https://finra-markets.morningstar.com/BondCenter/BondDetail.jsp?ticker=C614515&symbol=BBBY4144685
if there is *something* left in the company as it liquidates to pay the bond holders, you make money
if there is nothing left, it's a total default on the bond and the bond becomes worthless. In this scenario, which is the worst case, the stock will also go to zero and your long and short position even out
best case scenario is the company barely survives and debt holders are made whole but this never happens, the play is that you approach it: the lower the bond principal price below 50% the higher your likelihood of profits
