There's quite a numbers of male HR these days, especially in medium to large sized companies. Even worse than women they haggle your pay down to lowest just to please the upper management, imagine a salesman working for HR dept.

It's a shame that a lot of those companies end up being ran poorly once they see a bit of success. Start ups are very fulfilling since you get to build your own thing from the ground up and the payout (for your CEO) is great once you get a big break. Shame that said success is rarely passed on to the workers that made it. Always remember: you work at the CEO's company, not your company.
