You don't know what the options are being traded for. SPY has a major volatility smirk due to puts being bought for hedging, and puts being sold to take advantage of probability/premium. ITM calls are also higher on the smirk/skew. So the "normal" ratio will never be 0.7/1. You should look for the large spreads (as they're more popular than single options) taking place at the different expiration dates. Mostly credit and debit spreads. Tracking them daily can give a fair idea of what big money thinks of future price movement by date.

One wind turbine lasts 10^8 loadcycles which is about 20 years. At that point the blades and the generator need to be replaced.

There's not much reason to buy DOLE. That's not to say it's a terrible company, but it's a commoditized product with pretty direct competitors such as Del Monte (FDP).
These types of stocks tend to pay a 2-5% dividend and go absolutely nowhere over decades, aside from some temporary volatility depending on general market conditions. The problem is it's a really low ROIC business, yet these managements tend to dump most of their profits back into growth/acquisitions anyway because scale is how they get paid.

If you could buy DOLE at a 10% yield on cost, it'd probably be a really decent play to sit on forever and collect. Just don't reinvest the divvies.

Does anyone have experience with Canadian companies? I'm looking at Aritzia (ATZ). They sell mid-luxury clothing for women and are currently expanding into the US. They have the former CFO of LULU and a general manager for TikTok on their board of directors.

I like the growth story, but my only problem is that they are only listed on the Toronto stock exchange. It has incredibly low volume.

My question is this: Why aren't they listed on US exchanges? What incentives/disincentives (besides US regulatory compliance costs) are there for doing that?
