HELP REQUEST

I am building myself an smg watchlist of things I have seen "shilled" here. My primary parameters for selection are that the shilling is at least apparently reasonably unironic and not total fucking memes. It's ok if they have become something of a meme here, in that perhaps they are belittled by nonbelievers, or the simply suspicious, but not full blown memes to the point of reddit fame (BBBY, AMC, GME, etc.). The ETFs we regularly discuss and use are generally in different list, this should mostly be things reasonably somewhat "unique" to smg. What all should be included?

I'd really like someone's advice.
I don't want to look at this retarded fucking stock market anymore, I have a bull thesis on a stock that I like but it's going to take years for it to build back up. I was thinking that in the next market dip, I'd sell LEAPS of cash secured puts above the strike price of said stock, one year out.
The premium received would be the equivalent to what I'd normally make grinding the market in a year anyways.
Best case scenario: The stock goes above set strike
Great scenario: Stock crabs, I get assigned and I still make money.
Worst Case scenario: It craters really fucking hard and never recovers. (most unlikely in my opinion, company is debt free and has solid fundamentals)
Is this a retarded play?

>Redpill me on futures options. I need some after-hours action.
Alright so, future options' main claim to fame is 3 fold.
1. No PDT
2. Mostly cash-euro settled but can be American depending on the expiration. Great for options selling if you use it right.
3. SPAN margin
Combined you have a highly capital-efficient tool to spam similar options strategies for in theory lower risk if you do spreads. If you just want to sell naked you can do that too affordably as well.

That said some notes to consider,
Future options are calculated differently than normal options thus the nominal value may not line up with what your used to. Secondly, there are some options strategies and tools you cannot use like rolling for example. The regulatory body, CME, doesn't like it for whatever reason.

Nevertheless if you can trade future options you also get good tax benefits and can trade commodities like you can with normal stock options. For example I spam credit spreads on NatGas or Oil from time to time or do so on other commodities if I see a good setup.

Honestly I would say if you really like to stock I would just wheel it. Do a cash-secured put and sell calls against it when you get assigned, obviously above your cost basis ideally.
The other option here would just to do a PMCC, or Poor Mans Cover Call. You buy a LEAPS on this stock you like and sell short-term calls against it. If it crabs but doesn't hit the short call you get a credit. If it skyrockets it would be exorcised as a spread for a good profit ideally.

California is putting a lot of money into these games, and that's money that's funneling its way into industry leading research at these colleges. LSU just beat Iowa yesterday for the women's team, but I don't think Cali can buyout a win against Florida on both fronts, as well as leading the EV race AND this AI spotlight. Then I think about the land-use opportunities, but further research would be to look at current laws being pushed in their state backed by current business and economic models for industry leading fields. That's how you learn where to put your money best, because remember Anon, your brain is a more powerful computer than anything we can build ourselves.

In particular, the method on how options work and how they work in various scenarios has been more or less spot on. Compare that to some random youtube guy trying to sell you a shitty course for example.
Just overall I wouldn't copy their live trades since I prefer to spam credit spreads or short-put butterflies on indexes when I can.

Sticky and core sticky CPI have been running at 6.5-7% annualized rates since December. Note this is because the FFR isn't even *restrictive* until it's above CPI. The clowns at the FOMC have only just maybe left *loose* territory.

The only reason we've bandied about 4's and 5's on the main numbers is the flat and negative contribution of energy during that time.

And that is my dilemma, I'm not fucking joking when I say I'm about to fire my advisor and my broker over the past years events. I can't just be bagholding in the market getting my principal eaten alive whenever my professional Jew decides to "tax loss harvest" (sell the bottom). My Jew sold a blackrock US momentum ETF last year for a loss and bought the vanguard US momentum fund same day. Chopped away $200k of my cost basis on that one trade. No covered calls sold. No premium collected no nothing. I just want to keep my million earning the risk free rate of return and then available as margin for quick scalps/swings. Diversified bags are a scam. I can move the entire SPY with a $50k put play, even if only temporarily, that shouldn't happen. Diversification is a meme. Emerging markets are a meme. What markets are there to emerge really? There are niggers everywhere. Like I said, I think I would be a lot better off with cash earning 4.5% and available for scalps

Regarding my backtest simulator, I have almost the same parameters that TView has on it's reports. In their strategy tester, it breaks it into total, longs, and short groups. Mine is designed so I can take any arbitrary list of trades and run these stats on them. For example, I could run a whole backtest on 10 years of data, then split it into a list of trades per year and look at them separately, or group them by if margin was used, etc.
The only flaw it has is that it doesn't have a per-bar account value, which is fine for my purposes - I don't care how the price moves, I just want to see things like the drawdowns, win%, and trade count. It also needs to beat the buy and hold strategy before I go live.
But this was just testing it to make it work, I still to actually write the indicators and shit still

This smells like VC rambling. Autocomplete AI like what we "have" now is just taking averages or medians it finds in cause/effect relationships. Want to get the definition of a meme written as recipe instructions? Sure, because "What is greentext?" and getting "NEWFAG" is the mean, median, and mode expected response.
It cannot be used for decision making and has proven that it is damn useless with identifying outlier behavior.
But again, most of finance is 1st and 2nd order thinking at best since a decade + of zirp has melted the brains of finance and tech bros to flock behavior.

Of course this was the 90's so the doctors just wrote him a script for fentanyl patches for a decade which was basically criminal. I remember before he finally got back surgery I had to watch him come off of the opiates, and my father is no junkie. He handled the withdrawals like a fucking champ.
