They will ban BTC when they are done milking taxes from it and see more systemic risk than advantage from allowing exchanges to keep milking said taxes.

>they can't bank the network

So what, they can ban CEXes which is where 99.999% of liquidity is at, specifically western ones.

>it will be valuable outside of the US and EU

It's already banned in communist shitholes China and Russia, so what you have left? exactly nothing.

>inb4 el Tardador and other 3rd world shitholes

The government can make any security or investment worthless.

Just look at gamestop. They restricted trading and now it's down 75%. There is nothing you can do to counteract this

Guess I'll have to become a dangerous lunatic with an axe to grind against the government then.

it'd be cooler if they ban it after they finish selling the confiscated btc they hold.

They ban BTC then what, they will use dollars? Kek, countries will beg for bitcoins as all their currency collapse, they can't lower demand for it from people with actual money

True

People will just start using P2P. Volatility will go down and adoption as well as long term crypto holding will increase.
>It's already banned in communist shitholes China and Russia, so what you have left? exactly nothing.
People still use it in those shitholes. They achieved nothing. The only reason adoption in those places isn't higher is because their economies are still working somewhat. This wouldn't fly in the face of high inflation and a massive economic downturn, which will inevitably happen in those countries. See: Somalia, Nigeria.
>The government can make any security or investment worthless.
No, we really mean developed economies. If the government just keeps destroying the economy to help the jews, eventually people will just use crypto.
>Just look at gamestop. They restricted trading and now it's down 75%. There is nothing you can do to counteract this
The government doesn't have a killswitch for BTC. Even if they did, people would just start up their machines and start mining BTC.

BTC would be an illegal substitute for physical cash best case scenario after a ban on exchanges, which means you wouldn't be able to buy anything with it other than cheap shit.

Im Euro too. If you weren't a dumbass you would know Europe just follows whatever US does finance wise, starting by rate hikes. The FEDs problems with BTC are exactly the same as ECB.

Why would they ban it when they can keep milking 40% short term gains from it?
