I used to trade $200 @ 40X. Would scrape in ~$40 bucks profit per trade (the fee however is $20, so only $20 bucks net profit is made). Was making a little money then lost it all in February.

Lately I've only been trading ETH $50 @ 60x leverage, to try to build my account back up.
It's been a month and I cannot even make $200.

What the fuck am I doing wrong?
If I open a short the market Pumps.
If I open a Long the market dumps.

What is it about $50 on "high" leverage that seems to just immediately liquidate? I even put it on 100% stoploss to try to stay alive. Doesn't work

If I can't trade small amounts how am I supposed to trade large amounts?

Why would you inflict this amount of stress and suffering on yourself? Just use low leverage on a longer time frame or accumulate spot

if you use lower leverage, you can actually hold a coin for a longer amount of time rather than being liquidated at the first miniscule move in the wrong direction. and don't say the profits are smaller, because you're losing money as it is

there is a difference between trading (buy low sell high) and margin trading (pray you don't get liquidated by volatility)

I actually understand this now...alas.

48x leverage maximum. Sweet spot for fees. Second, trade with a thousand, will make your life easier. Third, 7-21x stop loss if you’re serious . 2-3x if you’re trying to get a feel for it. That simple mate. 10% stop loss if you are uncertain. No stop loss if you’re golden.

Also don’t use binance, most manipulated market. Only make trades binance will make if you do. I know it’s only fifty dollars but if you’re placing a trade then it’s likely a shark is placing the same trade.
