I think they're going to pump Link a ridiculous amount and a lot of OGs will sell because they're insanely "rich"
Once enough OGs sell, they will hyperinflate the dollar and those OGs will have nothing.

>the salary for this role must be fat
to educate you plebes about matters such as this, the salary as taxed wagie bucks for roles such as this are meaningless and possibly rather low
the real payout is in the connections and direct front row seating to the roll out of new critical infrastructure

think of it like this, the person (xe/xher) that takes this role will be there to see the unexpected onboarding troubles emerge and be first in line to see its resolutions then after 2 years when the system is getting on steam with integration this person will start their own consultancy firm where it hires itself out to big corporations that missed the boat and would like to onboard now, the pay out as billable services to your own company for exceed any probable wage

Not sure if serious but not to put you down, if they wanted an internal hire, it wouldve already happened. The significance of this guy reposting this on Linkedin is him signaling to his network that this is a highly desirable position. In other words, he knows Chainlink will be pivotal in what’s to come. It goes without saying, the network of a guy where he is in his career is littered with very accomplished people.

I dont disagree with any of this but I’ll also add the salary is probably pretty on par and/or better with what banks are paying. Especially in this environment. But yes I agree for whoever takes this role it is most certainly not purely focused on compensation

Interesting timeline
- SVB has issues, many crypto firms bank there
- Chainlink refuses to comment on what exposure they had to SVB, outright ignores requests
- Chainlink now frantically searching for a Group Treasurer
What's the chances that Chainlink got caught out being over exposed, and now desperately need to hire someone to come in and manage their risk appropriately

This is a pretty big development to be honest.
Sergey acknowledging their treasury/ management of it needs a true expert, and that currently its not being done very well(ie, token dumps constantly).
Getting someone truly top tier in to manage it is going to have large implications and its a signal of the direction they are moving. This is where they can probably figure out how to create alternative companies to be paid in USD by projects and convert it to LINK on market without getting in legal trouble. I think this is a turning point. They just want an expert and industry titan in the role to ensure correct move
