I'm an anti BTC shill but I have to say that the coin does hold really well. I mean like REALLY. I was expecting it to hit 8k but so far that hasn't happened. Looks like I'm gonna be partaking in this dip cuz it's probably gonna shoot to 50K after New Year.

>> No.5439550

yup. BTC is not gonna die. it is, for better or worse, the gold standard and unit of account of crypto. deal with it.

I have come to terms with that fact. My dream was for ETH to replace BTC but the latter takes punches better.

Too many people are invested in BTC and need it to survive - they are clinging on to essentially the worst tech and will fight to the death to keep it alive. This won't end well.

It's held up by stubbornness. It's a worthless and junk coin that probably will never be used, but it has a cult following of idiots that gives it good strength.

A nice analogy

How could you think that BTC would die when it is literally the only coin embraced by giants like Microsoft (Microsoft Identity Platform)?

Wishful thinking does not constitute reality.

I really don't think so, this shit flinging has proven both sides are infantile and really far behind. I think people will just get Ethereum since the devs are cool and smartcontracts are basically decentralized payment/escrow, plus all the icos.

It's shit and everyone is going to realize it while the hodlouts go down with the ship praising it's brilliance in their self imposed echo chambers.

But what would I know, I'm trapped in my echo chamber, alright.

its resting on the laurels of its former glory, which it only had due to the complete absence of any alternatives. am i wrong?

if BTC was released today without the brand awareness it would just be another shitcoin with stupid high transaction fees and scaling issues

this doesnt mean i wouldn't buy it in droves but its hardly god's gift to the crypto market

Do you people even read the thread?

>if BTC was released today without the brand awareness it would just be another shitcoin with stupid high transaction fees and scaling issues
Do you even know why Bitcoin was chosen for this?
>>5439944
Exactly because the community and developers refused to take the easy route of blocksize increase and chose decentralization and security as the number one priority. You would know if you had read a little bit more on the web and on important twitter accounts from people who actually matter instead of posting on biz all day.

The reality is that BTC is bolstered by normies and boomers who are late to the party. When they catch up and this massive herd of uninformed investors digests the fact that there are superior coins that are safe investments they will move away from BTC. As for when that will happen, I don't know. LN could change that but whos to say when that will ever come to BTC

Btc is the trunk of the crypto tree.
