What's the deal with JEPI? 11% dividend seems high. What's the risk to my principal? Currently sitting on a money market fund with day trading capital earning 4.5% and need to wait 30 days for it to broke marginable. Vs JEPI would count toward my margin now but I'm at a greater risk of market fluctuations with holding JEPI. But the 11% makes it almost worth it to take the chance. That I understand but in addition to the dividend being variable, theoretically JEPI could be traded up or down by goomblers vs my MM fund earning the risk free rate of return essentially. But how risky is JEPI really? If it really just is a JP Morgan professionally managed covered call strategy then why wouldn't I go for a dividend that is more than twice the amount of interest im earning in the MM fund.
