Bongs - I pay £120 to my work pension each month, and my employer contributes an extra £200. But would I be better off putting that £120 into property to pay off my mortgage quicker?

Depends on how old you are. If you're under 50 I'd say it's better to pay off your mortgage first.

I don't know how the UK pension is set up but if it's anything like Australian superannuation, you'd be better off just putting it in a bank

depends how comfy you are with bills and such, personally i cancelled the pension contributions because i think it will be stolen by government eventually either by just blatant raiding or forced to buy shitty bonds
make sure you check what the pension is investing in because standard life by default buys some green sustainable bullshit which is just being dumped
