Having a minimalist setting is not the issue the problem with these photos is not that the rooms aren't filled with useless trash but the fact that the houses themselves are shit. Cheap paint job, low ceiling, bad lighting, small ass room. And the only furniture is always some ugly cheap junk. Even looking at that carpet makes me nauseous. You need a nicer house for it to look good, filling it with junk won't make it less claustrophobic to look at it.
