LINK on the other hand has a lot of holders many with 5 fig stacks who criticise it and are vert critical of it. the people holding it have high standards and want it to succeed and go about ensuring it through this if they have to. For example, the staking lock up was reduced by 12 months due to it. the team started putting out more clarity and updates, changed their marketing etc. All thanks to the criticism.

No other project has a community like this. their communities are 50 IQ bagholder and genuine cults with no critisism at all.

I think it's because of two key elements:
1) Chainlink came at the end of a massive ICO hype cycle
and
2) Chainlink very clearly tried not to be a hypebeast like most that came before it

This created an impression that Chainlink was meant for the more upstanding crypto investor.
This gave a bunch of weak-minded people a sense of elitism for having "found" Chainlink so early, so they did what any hipster would do: try to keep the masses away so they can keep basking in that "I found them early" phase.
